editWelcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Billy Kametz, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Per {{infobox person}}: nationality: "Should only be used if nationality cannot be inferred from the birthplace." agent: Discouraged in most cases, specifically when promotional, and requiring a reliable source. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 20:40, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Megan Hollingshead. Thank you. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 03:12, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Bill Rogers (voice actor). Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 22:44, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Bill Rogers (voice actor) and Megan Hollingshead. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 22:44, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
I have initiated a discussion at Talk:Megan_Hollingshead#As_Karen_Thompson,_Kelli_Kassidi,_and_Meg_Holiday regarding your edits that have added aliases for Hollingshead. You are invited to participate in the discussion to explain the lack of reliable sourcing for those aliases (see WP:Communication is required). 108.56.139.120 (talk) 23:10, 28 July 2021 (UTC)
- Stop adding aliases to Megan Hollingshead without adequate sourcing like you did here: [1]. I have given you the opportunity to discuss this with your fellow editors at Talk:Megan_Hollingshead#As_Karen_Thompson,_Kelli_Kassidi,_and_Meg_Holiday, but you have not added anything to the discussion. If you decline to participate in the discussion but still continue to add aliases without adequate sourcing, then that is disruptive editing and edit warring. If you choose that path, then I will submit a report to the administrators asking for a review of your editing behavior and to determine whether sanctions are appropriate (up to and including revoking your editing privileges). I'd rather not do that. You can avoid it, though, if you cooperate and collaborate with your fellow editors. Let us work together. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 20:45, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Sam Riegel has been reverted.
Your edit here to Sam Riegel was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://twitter.com/samriegel/status/1314820635676143622) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:22, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
If this is a shared IP address, and you didn't make the edit, please ignore this notice.
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Megan Harvey, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 16:02, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Twitter as a source
editTwitter is not a reliable source for biographical data in articles unless it 1) it comes from a verified account belonging to the subject and 2) it actually verifies the content it's meant to support. See WP:TWITTER. It is essential that you understand our policies regarding living persons and reliable sourcing if you will be editing biography articles. Further violations of the policy will likely lead to sanctions on your account.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 17:14, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Teahouse
editHello! 78.182.155.131,
you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors.
|
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, although if you wish to acquire additional privileges, simply create an account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages, and customize the appearance and behavior of the website
- Rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
- Utilize a vast array of editing tools
In addition, your IP address will no longer be visible to other users.
In any case, I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, visit the Teahouse, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! Sariel Xilo (talk) 17:47, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Signing posts
editHello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. 108.56.139.120 (talk) 17:54, 30 July 2021 (UTC)
