editYour recent editing history at List of scandals with "-gate" suffix shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Also, my apologies about saying that the other editors contributions were not in violation of 3RR. You, however constantly reverting edits is in violation of 3RR. Please stop. Boomer VialHolla 09:38, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Boomer Vial I haven't broken the 3RR rule. Users involved here are SPA who are not here to build an encyclopedia, they are here to push an agenda - several have been subject of temp/permanent bans from ARBCOM. This list is clearly a list of scandals (not a list of controversies surrounding said scandals), all other descriptions reflect that in this list. For example Watergate (the template for all other -gates) is rightly summarized as "two politically motivated burglaries took place in 1972", GamerGate (and every other entry) should conform to this format. 80.229.188.196 (talk) 09:59, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah, you did break 3RR. Here are your four reverts, in case you have forgotten.
- One"-gate"_suffix&diff=707246371&oldid=707087541
- Two"-gate"_suffix&diff=707344852&oldid=707286728
- Three"-gate"_suffix&diff=707527684&oldid=707451637
- Four (violation of 3RR)"-gate"_suffix&diff=707879937&oldid=707738119
- Please stop feigning innocence. You are just as guilty here. Please take it to the talk page, and leave it there until a consensus is reached. Also, if they really are topic banned from this topic, feel free to link to me the conversation that let to their topic ban. Thanks. Boomer VialHolla 10:04, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
- You haven't addressed any of my points ... and appologies, I had PeterTheFourth confused with MarkBernstein (an easy mistake to make). My reverts have occured well outside periods of 24h - ranging over the period from Feb 26 to March 3. I've asked for some un-involved users to resolve this dispute. All the best. 80.229.188.196 (talk) 10:16, 2 March 2016 (UTC)
