editHi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edit to Betty Ong, John Ogonowski, and Madeline Amy Sweeney, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be partially reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Although you included citations for some of your additions, such as the first paragraph you added to the Betty Ong article, almost none of the text you added was found in that cited article, the only exceptions being the number of siblings she had and her adult hobby of collecting Beanie Babies, which I retained. The second paragraph was not accompanied by a citation at all, as were a number of the paragraphs you added to Ogonowski's article, and one passage you added to Sweeney's.
In addition, that second paragraph you added to Betty Ong was unencyclopedic, both in its content and in its tone, and was written like a memorial. As an encyclopedia, material in Wikipedia must be written in a formal tone, without promotional wording.
If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 18:48, 16 May 2021 (UTC)
Sorry about the trouble with the filter. I've revived your changes from the filter log and saved them to the page. However, I've also reverted the change (for now), but it's visible in the page history. That page is a WP:Featured article, so it's best not make such drastic changes without discussion. Try small, incremental changes (e.g. a few select quotes from the transcript), or better yet open a discussion at Talk:United Airlines Flight 93 about inclusion of all those quotes. editPlease stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to United 93 (film). It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Please stop making wholesale edits to this page and other 9/11 pages without discussing any proposed changes on the article Talk Page. Thank you. David J Johnson (talk) 10:37, 10 July 2021 (UTC)

editDo not use multiple IP addresses to disrupt Wikipedia, like you did at Marguerite Oswald. Such attempts to avoid detection, circumvent policies or evade blocks or sanctions will not succeed. You are welcome to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, but your recent edits have been reverted or removed. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Binksternet (talk) 13:15, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
