editYour recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. - Please examine the edit log. I'm reverting vandalism. The other user is engaging in an edit war by removing correctly sourced material and seeking to promote a fringe theory that's not backed by any RS. 86.184.52.46 (talk) 22:46, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to make inappropriate or abusive edit summaries or comments, you may be blocked from editing. --AntiDionysius (talk) 00:39, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Stop the other guy then! He's adding ludicrous claims that the Scilly Islands, Bordeaux and Istanbul are "sub tropical". It makes Wikipedia look ridiculous. Trewartha's classification clearly states that marine locations have to be frost-free. None of these locations are frost-free. It also defies common sense - have you visited any of these places in winter? They are not subtropical by any stretch. I'll stop editing. But please look at the article history before you pass judgment and enforce the 3RR on the other editor or lock the page. Allowing unsourced claims that places are "subtropical" just makes the platform look silly and untrustworthy. 86.184.52.46 (talk) 00:45, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have no opinion on the content dispute. But even if you turned out to be 100% correct in the content dispute, personal attacks in edit summaries would not be acceptable. AntiDionysius (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

. voorts (talk/contributions) 00:54, 19 November 2024 (UTC)- If edit warring continues after this brief block is over, this article could be placed under full protection that would prevent editing from any editors except for administrators. Please spend more time on the talk page than editing the article. If there is a climate-related WikiProject, you might post a neutral message on their talk page, inviting their members to weigh in on the RFC that was opened on the article talk page. Thank you.
