Hi! I noticed your edits on Yordan Piperkata and wanted to welcome you to Wikipedia. I'm going to leave a standardized welcome message below this. That message contains a list of helpful links. However, I wanted to discuss your edits to your grandfather's page.

  • First off, did you mean to remove the box at the right of the page with his picture, as you did in this edit, or was it an accident? If it's an accident I can help you put it back. If it was intentional, would you mind explaining why you think it should be gone?
  • Second, your primary concern seems to be clarifying that he is Macedonian, not Bulgarian. The article as it [1] before you started working on it said he was an ethnic Macedonian, and it noted that "revolutionaries in the Ottoman period did not differentiate between ‘Macedonians’ and ‘Bulgarians'", so I'm not sure what the problem was - could you help me understand?
  • Third, please pay careful attention to our guidelines on citing sources and conflict of interest as it applies to writing about family members.

Again, if you need help, let me know and I'll be glad to help you in any way I can. You can respond on this page, and I'll keep an eye out for your response. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 18:04, 27 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, 89.205.12.26, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Jingiby (talk) 12:26, 2 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

  Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but your recent edits, such as those to Yordan Piperkata, appear to be intentional disruptions designed to illustrate a point. Edits designed for the deliberate purpose of drawing opposition, including making edits you do not agree with or enforcing a rule in a generally unpopular way, are highly disruptive and can lead to a block or ban. If you feel that a policy is problematic, the policy's talk page is the proper place to raise your concerns. If you simply disagree with someone's actions in an article, discuss it on the article talk page or, if direct discussion fails, through dispute resolution. If consensus strongly disagrees with you even after you have made proper efforts, then respect the consensus, rather than trying to sway it with disruptive tactics. Thank you.

  You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Jingiby (talk) 18:21, 5 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, 89.205.125.195. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Jingiby (talk) 03:07, 3 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
