Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 19:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

hi

Hi yourself...oh, and welcome to Wikipedia! Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 19:36, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
uhh...thanks...i think...Oo
No problem. I've left the usual welcome message above, but if you've got any questions, leave me (or any other editor) a message on their talk page. Mine's here. Oh, and don't forget to sign comments (I'll leave a little message on how to do that below). Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 19:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a ton for the help. I'll definitly let you know if I have any other questions. I've opened this account to help me work on my homework. I have to write about the Virginia Plan. Could you give me any idea on finding stuff about the Virginia Plan? Thanks!--8thwonderoftheworld (talk) 19:43, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Sure. Try searching for it in the search box on the left of the screen. Or (if you're feeling lazy) just click on this link - good luck! Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 19:45, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
One more thing: what is this whole preference, skin thing? Is that the background on my profil thing? Thanks for all your help.--8thwonderoftheworld (talk) 19:48, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it changes the look of Wikipedia when you're using it (only for you, though, not for everyone else). Have a look here for more information. Giles Bennett (Talk, Contribs) 19:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, got it! You are a great help!--8thwonderoftheworld (talk) 19:54, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

No worries. Good luck, and remember, when you feel like it, why not move from using Wikipedia for research to actually editing articles. You don't have to start off by writing the complete history of Abraham Lincoln (someone's already done that), but dive in, and remember - be bold! I've reformatted the page to make all the notices and our conversation a bit easier to follow (using : at the start of a line indents the line, as you can see, and people generally indent responses to make it easier to read who said what to whom). Okay, I'll try to contribute to this site. Thanks for all your help! :D--8thwonderoftheworld (talk) 20:27, 15 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
