In particular, "Both experienced and new editors contributing to articles relating to the area of conflict (namely, the intersection of race/ethnicity and human abilities and behaviour, broadly construed) are reminded that this is a highly contentious subject and are cautioned that to avoid disruption they must adhere strictly to fundamental Wikipedia policies, including but not limited to: maintaining a neutral point of view; avoiding undue weight; carefully citing disputed statements to reliable sources; and avoiding edit-warring and incivility."·ʍaunus·snunɐw· 13:41, 31 October 2011 (UTC)
Interpersonal conduct
editI wonder what you think you are accomplishing for yourself with edits like this [1]. It can't be to win others to your point of view, because it does not reflect well on you when other people see you conducting yourself rudely toward others. In fact, it suggests to them that you aren't interested in working with others constructively.
While you very likely have some unique perspectives that could contribute to making the articles better, Wikipedia is inherently a collaborative effort and so working with others politely and respectfully is not optional. Your knowledge and background are of no use here if you cannot find a way to conduct yourself toward others in a way that leads to bettering our collaborative writing environment.
