The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Proposed deletion of The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure

edit

The article The Blues Brothers: Jukebox Adventure has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources, no indication of notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nathan2055talk - contribs 21:03, 19 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't understand why this article is proposed to deletion when it has the same references/reliable sources (or lack of) than this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Blues_Brothers_(video_game). That one should be proposed as well. But OK, I'll see what can I do to please your nitpicky demand. (AWesker (talk) 17:44, 20 September 2020 (UTC))Reply

Deep Fear

edit

Wesker, please help me understand why that source is wrong when there are at least two English reviews in the article from August '98 and, of note, one is an American review that would not have received a pre-release copy from the publisher. I'm open to the idea that the official Sega website may be wrong, but they are usually correct, and you nor anyone else has offered any explanation as to why that date is not to be trusted here. TarkusABtalk/contrib 22:38, 15 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello. It's very simple. The internal date of the European version is July 13th. It's IMPOSSIBLE to have a game manufactured and released in a whole continent in such a short timeframe (considering that July 24th release date) of 11 days after having the gold master, that's a miracle. It is already a miracle on current modern standards with all the mediums we have nowadays, so try to picture that on 1998 with the low transfer communications that we had back in that day. They needed at least one full month to have a game manufactured and ready for release after getting the gold master. Besides, Sega Europe did centralized European releases, in all countries, and not separate ones (that's why they used multi-lingual cases and manuals, it was the same exact unit for everywhere EXCEPT for some specific localizations of certain games to German, French, Spanish and so on, which don't apply to this game). That makes sense when the publisher/distributor is different in specific countries, but in this case it was Sega Europe all along, and the United Kingdom was the leading European Sega Saturn market (ie, the only one that gave some revenue to Sega Europe), so it's totally clueless to delay two months the release of this game in your leading European market while releasing it beforehand in less profitable ones for no reason. And it's clueless because that never happened. The game was definitely released in September in all Europe, both UK and mainland (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, and so on). I'm from Spain and the game was never available during summer, it was definitely in September like most sources state, and I can get you Spanish mags, if necessary, doing the review in September and not earlier. The English reviews from August '98 could still happen because of either using the Japanese version or an European version review build, which was perfectly possible because the European gold master was done in July 13th, but that's far from being any valid indication of a July 24th release. The American one is also possible because there is an unreleased USA version with internal date of July 15th and it could have been sent. But I suppose you understand that one thing is sending prototype builds to magazines, and a different one is doing a full scale release on a continent. I reckon you will understand perfectly. (AWesker (talk) 23:18, 15 August 2023 (UTC))Reply
That's quite a bit of original research, but it makes sense so I won't argue it. Thanks for kindly explaining the rationale, instead of just telling me to "do my homework". Have a nice day. TarkusABtalk/contrib 00:04, 16 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
Right, sorry if that sounded rude on my side. I'm glad we could reach a mutual consensus with this. Have a nice day you too. (AWesker (talk) 14:58, 16 August 2023 (UTC))Reply
