"Not a list"?
editHi! Could you please motivate your recent correction of the Storytelling festival (@[1])? Shanghainese.ua (talk) 11:37, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- I assume that you mean "explain the motivation behind your recent edit". If every storytelling festival that has a Wikipedia article was listed here, it would be a very long list. Would it be reasonable for every movie that has a Wikipedia article to be listed in a "See also" section of the article on Films? No. If you look at that article, you will see that it includes several lists, including a list of films. If you wished to create a list of Storytelling Festivals and place a link to that list on the Storytelling Festival page, that would be appropriate. Otherwise, you just look like someone who wants to promote their local storytelling festival.A Softer Answer (talk) 13:09, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- I do not think "what I look like" is the case for discussion here. I would be glad to see more articles of the kind you edited out from the potential "list": I got the impression that the one I inserted was unique on Wiki. Dissuade me! Your comparison with cinema dose not seem to be appropriate.Shanghainese.ua (talk) 14:24, 12 September 2013 (UTC)
- International Storytelling Championship, National Storytelling Festival, StorySLAM, Southern Ohio Storytelling Festival, Timpanogos Storytelling Festival are festivals that have Wikipedia articles that I was able to find on quick search. Plus, I have previously removed numerous links to festival web pages in this section and in the External links section.A Softer Answer (talk) 01:18, 13 September 2013 (UTC)
- I admit, my search was less productive. I have started the list, though it might be meaningless because there is a kin category (which would be more constructive of you to show, instead of the blah-blah). Anyway, thanks for clarifications. I admire the French article and wonder what is wrong with this inclusiveness --Shanghainese.ua (talk) 19:00, 17 September 2013 (UTC)
- When you've got your list up, be sure to put a link in the "See Also" section. I'll put it on my watch list and help populate it if I can.
- It is up.Shanghainese.ua (talk) 06:18, 18 September 2013 (UTC)

Gary Steven Krist article
editHis name according to court documents and federal authorities is Gary Stephen Krist not Steven. I've changed it in the article but don't know how to change the title without creating a new article. Shouldn't the article's title be changed?TL36 (talk) 02:45, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for bring this to my attention. I have changed the title by moving it to a page with the correct title (Wikipedia:Moving a page)and am now in the process of changing the title on the articles that link to that page to avoid a redirect. Again, thanks for bringing this to my attention.A Softer Answer (talk) 02:28, 14 December 2013 (UTC)
A personalized New Year greeting
editHi A Softer Answer, Happy New Year! I'm happy to see that you're still editing. :) Best. Acalamari 11:44, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, Acalamari. I do not work the 'recent changes' list for vandalism like I used to, but I do have a long list of articles on my watch list that I try to check on daily. And (thanks to you), I utilized the rollback yesterday to remove 5 edits in one swoop. Happy New Year to you and happy editing. A Softer Answer (talk) 15:11, 1 January 2014 (UTC)
Don't Be Afraid to Be Amazing New Orleans Library Photo
editHi. If I remember correctly, you were the one who requested me to photograph the mural in New Orleans Children's Library File:NOPLDontBeAfraidToBeAmazing.jpg. If you didn't notice, a deletion request has been started for this image, and I thought you might wish to know about it and possibly comment. Survey Invite
editI'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take 5 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.
I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.
Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (talk) 23:06, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for August 15
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Megan Hayes, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New York (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

editAndy Offutt Irwin Discography moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Andy Offutt Irwin Discography, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 17:58, 7 March 2020 (UTC)
