edit

To my sandbox for this article I have added the following:

  • Some dialogue that I want to add to the Lead section of the article
  • A large bit of information that I want to add to the Description section
  • Bibliography from the WA2 assignment + 2 new sources

I have also incorporated more links to other Wikipedia articles within the text.

I have not yet added to the Provenance or Return to Egypt sections, as I want to conduct more research for my essay before I look into editing them. Abbymar1416 (talk) 02:17, 18 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

To my sandbox for this article I have added the following:

  • An updated introduction into the Provenance of the Coffin of Nedjemankh
  • Information regarding the French art dealer who sold the coffin and the falsified provenance documents, as well as the outcome of the investigation.
  • Edits to the existing Provenance section to clean up verbiage and grammar
  • Links to other Wikipedia articles within the text

I have not yet added to the Return to Egypt section, as I am working my way down the article, and I want to save this section for last so I can conduct even more research.Abbymar1416 (talk) 18:50, 17 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

For this article I have made the following changes:

  • Added information to lengthen the Lead section
  • In the "Description" section of the article, I have added information regarding who Nedjemankh was when they were alive and the significance of the inscriptions on this coffin in relation to Egyptian mythology, the Book of the Dead, and Egyptian burial ritual.
  • In the "Provenance" section of the article, I have included information about the international investigation surrounding the illegal exportation of the Coffin of Nedjemankh and the people involved.
  • Throughout the article I have made improvements in terms of grammar.
  • I have added several new, credible sources.
  • I have added more internal links to other Wikipedia pages.

In terms of what could still be done to this article, I believe that there could be a few more images to liven it up (i.e.,close-ups of the inscriptions). The only images available through Openverse were the ones already shown in the article, plus a mirror of the photo used at the beginning under "Coffin of Nedjemankh." It would be beneficial to have information on where the coffin was looted from, but I had a difficult time locating any information on this. As I continue to work on this article at the conclusion of the class, these will be the two things that I focus on. Abbymar1416 (talk) 17:38, 28 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
