Please stop spamming article with links to www.ccel.org. In most cases, the website isn't adding anything to the article. Nev1 (talk) 19:35, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please don't make any further edits like this The links you are adding are not of value to the articles. I'm afraid that if you continue, your account will be blocked and the website may be blacklisted as you seem to be trying to use Wikipedia to advertise it. Nev1 (talk) 20:37, 24 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
Wikipedia isn't a repository of links; links to external sites should add something that Wikipedia or the other sites can't offer. The best examples are external sites or collections of works in the public domain, hence Project Gutenburg is linked to from a lot of articles. ccel.org doesn't really add much; the articles are often shorter and less informative than what is available on Wikipedia and as such don't really add anything. There's no problem with adding a link here or there where you think it may be useful, but the pattern of adding links to dozens of articles was ringing alarm bells that that might be your main purpose for being here. Some people create accounts just to add links to their personal website and then abandon the account. There's plenty to do no Wikipedia, I'm sure you can find an article that interests you and virtually everything around here can be improved so enthusiastic editors who want to help out are always welcome. I just ask that you exercise more discretion in what links you add to articles. Nev1 (talk) 20:31, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I concur with Nev1. I apologize for having incorrectly thought that George Duffield, Jr. was a copyright problem; the admin who looked into it correctly noted that the page you copied from is out of copyright. Tb (talk) 21:18, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Here [1] you explain that you work for ccel, and that's why you were adding links. That's a pretty clear WP:COI conflict of interest problem. It's a shame you were given that task to do; it's not an appropriate use of Wikipedia. Tb (talk) 21:20, 25 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
