Sources are necessary
[edit]Dear colleague: Welcome and thank you for your very valuable contributions to the articles on the subject of mythology. Wikipedia is based, among other things, on verifiability (see WP:V). To simplify verification by the readers and fellow editors, the added text should have WP:references (links to the WP:reliable sources where the added fact, or "claim" came from). The WP:REF suggests multiple ways to format the references. Personally, I prefer an {{sfn}} WP:template "inline" (in the text) and a full description of a source using one of the "cite" templates at the bottom, you can check the example in Asag, where I have added reference for your claim about the parents of Asag. This way is somewhat complicated, and simpler way of putting the source description into <ref>...</ref> next to the claim is just as good. Feel free to ask me any questions. - Anytime! Unsolicited advice: It looks like you are using Wikipedia:VisualEditor. If so, the step-by-step directions are at WP:REFVISUAL. Have fun! Викидим (talk) 05:24, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
