Welcome!

edit

Hello, Abijitark, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited was Abijit Radhakrishna, which appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Speedy deletion nomination of Abijit Radhakrishna

edit

Hello Abijitark,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Abijit Radhakrishna for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Abijit Radhakrishna

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Abijit Radhakrishna requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Book:

edit

The Book: namespace was for a utility (Wikipedia:Books) which allowed readers to collect wikipages into a cluster which could then be saved as a single PDF file & printed. It's not for articles (or draft articles) about books. Cabayi (talk) 07:35, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Draft:Kill the Girl (novel). This includes making page moves while a discussion remains underway. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. I've explained politely why it's an inappropriate move. Sadly we now need to move onto the formal cautions. Cabayi (talk) 12:48, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I was trying to correct the errors with regard to secondary sources and republish the page. Abijitark (talk) 13:06, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

No, you were repeatedly moving it from the Draft namespace to the Book namespace despite being told that's not what Bookspace is for.
Copying it to your sandbox and resubmitting it from there in the hope of concealing its previous rejection is just making work for other editors and is nothing but disruptive. So guess what, we move on to the next level of the formal warnings...

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Cabayi (talk) 14:28, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Cabayi was: This submission is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Duplicate submission. Already in draftspace as Draft:Kill the Girl (novel) and declined once.

Sockpuppet investigation

edit

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Abijitark, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
