I leave the comment here so you're sure to see it - you're refactoring a discussion which includes participation by more people than just you and he. It leaves an incomplete record of the discussion for future reference and leaves comments in place as if they were responding to other comments - effectively changing the meaning of other people's comments. I'm glad you've come to an agreement about things but that doesn't change the record there. Please also don't mark comments deleting half a discussion as "minor".
