AcuteAccusation
A belated welcome!
editHere's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, AcuteAccusation. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.
Again, welcome! Peter E. James (talk) 00:54, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
No priority parameter in WikiProject Biography
editI see you adding the WikiProject Biography banner when missing and adding parameters to the banner. Thank you for this as not many people like doing gnome work.
FYI... there is no longer a "priority" parameter in WikiProject Biography banners. It has been replaced by sports-priority, politician-priority, a&e-priority, etc. Bgwhite (talk) 07:49, 7 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up Bgwhite, is there a page that has all the new priority parameters? That would be really helpful. Thanks,AcuteAccusation (talk) 23:05, 8 December 2011 (UTC)
- Template:WikiProject Biography contains all the information on the Biography banner. You can get information about other banners by searching for:
- Tempalate:WikiProject <insert project>
- In order to have the priority parameter show up, you have to set the appropriate work group to yes. Example... for sports-priority=yes you also have to set sports-work-group=yes.
- If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to ask. We need all the help in this area as there are only a few of us too
stupidwonderful to do this. Bgwhite (talk) 23:26, 8 December 2011 (UTC)

Wikimedia Stories Project
editAloha!
My name is Victor and I work with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. We're chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade new people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who use Wikipedia have so much to share.
I find stories that drive our annual fundraising efforts. It's important to convey the incredible diversity of people who've come to rely upon Wikipedia every day.
I wonder if you use Wikipedia in your high school classroom?
I'd really like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project and we'll set up a good time to discuss further.
Thank you,
Victor Grigas

- Hello user:Victorgrigas, I appreciate you asking me if I would like to participate. I do occasionally use wikipedia in the classroom, but I keep my own editing private. Thanks for the offer, but I have to decline. Hope you have a great week, and good luck with the mission!AcuteAccusation (talk) 05:15, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
