Few comments on the study
editOne cannot really draw the conclusion that the prevalence of ghost writing is decreasing as only about 10% of people responded to the questionnaire, and there are other explanations for the finding such as maybe these 10% are less willing to admit ghost writing due to the media attention.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 11:11, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- It is not unusual for different methods to give different result. What we need is some independent researches to due a review of the topic. But even than in such a secretive industry with lots to hide answers will still only be tentative. Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 16:39, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Indeed. That's why we were very careful to use the same methods both times. So our 2005 to 2008 comparison should be robust.
Totally agree that more research is needed. We're doing some more at the moment, but there's plenty more to do. Feel free to have a go at your own research projects whenever you like! AdamJacobs (talk) 18:41, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Have you actually read my study? AdamJacobs (talk) 21:02, 10 June 2010 (UTC)
Medical Ghostwriting
editThis is a serious problem. Ghostwriting in the medical literature is plagiarism, fraud and scientific misconduct. And, it is harmful to public health. UGAcodon (talk) 12:14, 11 July 2010 (UTC)
