editWhile i agree that she is undisputably welsh there is something of a constant edit war between those who feel it is more appropriate to describe her as "British" and those who prefer "welsh". i added the source, to show her descirbing herself as Welsh. If anyone changes it back to "BRitish", I'm afraid i'll be inclined to restore the source. Amo 19:24, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

editRe: your comment on User talk:Martha chen. Yeah, looks like it. Blocked indefinitely. I caught another sockpuppet attacking User:Dayg1110 in Yoruba (see Wale Oguntade (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log). Warned, not blocked, but a block will follow as soon as he starts spamming or making legal threats, which they have been doing before.
I cannot do anything more than indefinitely blocking all sockpuppets I come across, until the spam blacklist is working again. I hope that will be soon. Kind regards, — mark ✎ 09:32, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Age category
editHello! If you are receiving this message, that means that your user page is in a specific year category. Per a recent user-category per deletion, all specific year categories are to be deleted. If you wish to continue using year categories, you have two options:
- Using an age group category, such as Category:Wikipedians in their 30s
- Using a decade category, such as Category:Wikipedians born in the 1970s.
If you wish, you may do both. Hopefully, this change in categorization will be quick and painless. Happy editing! --An automated message from MessedRobot 13:19, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Listen, I don't want to start an edit war, but you can't use an incorrect template. "Upgrade U" has not been released as an official single, but it charted due to heavy airplay. As far as I know, Beyoncé has never confirmed that this song was planned to be released a single from B'Day. If I'm wrong - cite a source! ... Noboyo - 23:20
- neither do i,but u seem to have a habit for that.u're d only 1 who disagrees.its called a promo SINGLE,not song or track or what not."if i'm wrong - cite a source!"btw mtvstyleblog calls it a single.+it has a video - most promos dont. Adaobi (t c) 21:45, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- I don't have a habit, i just want to differentiate singles and album cuts ... I'm not the only one, there have been several discussion about this in the past ... And - as you may know - I can't cite a source for something that has never been under debate ... Btw: All videos from the B'Day album have a video (see B’Day Anthology Video Album') Noboyo
- but u started said debate.u asked 4 a cite i asked u back.
- I'm sorry, but are you an adult? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Noboyo (talk • contribs) 21:58, 16 April 2007 (UTC).

- I got a habit? Wow, and now you wanna tell me I'm also the one who's provocative? How embarrassing ... - Noboyo
- really bugs u,doesnt it.habit,habit,habit.any1 who looks at ur contibutions sees it.unfortunately,u choose 2 ignore it.

Silverbird
editI've removed the link you re-added to Silverbird and clarified the reasoning, not only is it a link to a non-existant article, but it's a spammy sounding one. Do not re-add it or you may be blocked. If the company referenced meets WP:NOTABLE guidelines and an article is written that isn't spammy, feel free to add a link to it. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 16:51, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- First of silverbird group's one of largestest multimedia companies in Nigeria. And believe me its not spam (like they r not loads on wiki). Just bcuz, it doesn't have an article, doesn't mean its not notable. And btw, if we folloew ur logic, d leo sayer album might as well b taken off, bcuz i have never heard of it either (and it doesnt have an article). Adaobi YELL!!done 17:29, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Write the article, then add the link to the disambiguation page. Review WP:3RR if you haven't already before re-adding it, please. - CHAIRBOY (☎) 17:37, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

Survey
editHi Adaobi!
I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!
It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!
Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!
Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Do you have rights to the photo of D'banj?
editDear Adaobi,
Thanks for all your work posting elements of Nigerian culture! I would like to use the photo of D'banj holding his MTV award in my children's book as an illustration of a Nigerian hip hop star. I can't tell from the license who took the photo and how I should credit it in my book. Are you the author? Or has the author given the photo to the public domain or licensed it? It looks like Tobennandu originally uploaded it, but I don't know how or if I should credit him. He doesn't have a user page. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!
Sincerely, Ruth Fitts Rubiru --Rubiru (talk) 16:44, 8 November 2011 (UTC) ruthfitts@gmail.com
Hi Ruth,
Sorry, I don't own the rights, I merely reverted the picture to its original state. I've a funny feeling he might not own the rights either, since I recall seeing it in an article a while back and I didn't upload it then, after learning from Wikipedia about fair use and its wahala. Regards, Adaobi YELL!!done 16:57, 8 November 2011 (UTC).

The file File:Naira sign.gif has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 25 May 2019 (UTC)
