Icelandic Elf School
editWould you mind explaining why you keep undoing my edits to Icelandic Elf School? It's not vandalism. There is a documentary called Fucking Different with a segment called "Schwule Elfen" which features Magnús Skarphéðinsson, head of the Icelandic Elf School. In the citation I added, there is a transcript of the segment with Magnús translated into English in which he describes how there are gay and lesbian elves. --Amanojyaku (talk) 15:50, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Author-Lyn Hancock.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Author-Lyn Hancock.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 06:20, 13 December 2010 (UTC)

editI posted no un-sourced, copyrighted, or plagiarized info in my edits of William Henry Harrison High School (Ohio)! The person you keeps editing this does not know what they are doing. As a matter of fact, every bit of what I added had either a link or reference provided. Beyond that, some of what I added that was removed was either links or references! Please don't accuse me of what the person removing my edits is engaged in! Before you accuse me of something, maybe you should investigate my edits. You will quickly see that everyone of them is legitimate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BuckeyeDave (talk • contribs) 23:36, 14 December 2010 (UTC)

Offensive usernames
editIn the future, please report offensive (or possibly offensive) usernames to WP:UAA, as you probably could have done in the case of User:Ihateblondes. While the userpage might have qualified as vandalism, a more broad warning for their username might have been in order. Thanks for reporting it anyways. Thanks. Leo 03:24, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

editHi. with the greatest of respect, and no intention of upsetting you, I must say I thought it was highly inappropriate to alter Ssilver's text from "died" to "passed away". Since you did not write it, you should not be editing it. Surely you know this, but if not please indicate and I will look out the appropriate guideline for you. Furthermore, I do not think there is any evidence that KB would have preferred the euphemistic "passed away" to the practical and honest "died", especially since the latter is is recommended by WP:EUPHEMISM. If you do have some serious reason to believe that this substitution was appropriate I would suggest that you take it up with Ssilvers, but that you refrain from editing others' text on that page. Thanks and best wishes DBaK (talk) 22:14, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- It's okay. I just thought "passed away" would be more gentle then "died". I'll leave it alone though. --Addihockey10e-mail 22:51, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
- Fair enough, and thanks very much for the nice response. I'm sorry I came over a bit snarky! Best wishes, DBaK (talk) 23:30, 22 December 2010 (UTC)

editThank you for uploading File:Royal standard of King Nicholas I Petrovic of Montenegro.png. Removal of other editors comments
editPlease don't remove the comments of other editors, as you did here. While you may do so on your own talk page, you shouldn't remove comments on other users talk pages unless they are clearly vandalism, clearly intended to be disruptive, etc. Additionally, I don't see anything that could be uncivil in that comment - perhaps that is why you removed it, and even if it were uncivil, that is not a reason to remove a comment, you may (controversially) remove personal attacks - but simple incivility does not meet that standard. Question
editHello adopter, I just wanted to ask about on of the CSD criteria concerning G6 which is housekeeping. I just wanted to know what exactly that is. Baseball Watcher 17:01, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
- Housekeeping is basically deleting pages that
do not needno longer need to exist. Housekeeping is rarely in the article namespace - generally daily clean-up categories such as Category:Wikipedia files with the same name on Wikimedia Commons as of 23 August 2010 which can be deleted per C1 or G6. --Addihockey10 e-mail 18:31, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
