I cannot see why you have excised the reference to the "Life of Antoninus Pius" online critique -- unless you are engaged in a damage-limitation exercise for the Carotta empire.
- @Sir Ian(?), I did not read AP's blog thoroughly, but I have not the slightest doubt that what you wrote is a correct representation of the debate, not in the least because of Carotta's attempt to discredit his opponent, which is his usual tactic. However, that is a personal opinion, as is your formulation that AP "demonstrated the inadequacy of Carotta's theory in detail", and does not belong therefore in an objective text for an encyclopedia. You might mention AP's criticism in the response paragraph, but it is "only" a blog and that too I not really fitted for wiki. Besides there have been many others before AP. This is a nice one in English: http://michaelturton2.blogspot.com/2005/04/was-j-caesar-really-j-christ.html , http://michaelturton2.blogspot.com/2005/04/carotta-part-ii-jesuswas-not-julius.html and http://michaelturton2.blogspot.com/2005/05/carotta-again-info-discussions.html. --Adelheid24 (talk) 13:44, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
