NH family pic

edit

Hi; not sure how to do any of this. Thanks for the welcome. I see you edited the NH pic I added; Carl is a friend; I wanted his name to show. AdvocateNJ (talk) 01:14, 27 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

I ended up tweaking the caption a little bit, since it could have possibly been mistaken for promotional purposes. But thanks for adding the photo and for sending me the barnstar --GouramiWatcher(?) 01:46, 28 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Help request regarding Lyle Stevik's article

edit

Your Lyle Stevik article needs an edit under [[1]]. You misinterpreted what's written on Doe Net - There are a lot of photos that can be uploaded on his page. I have them larger then what's on Doe Net; also have other recons where he looks more Native American. WS member outofthedark was looking for another version of a recon that made Lyle look more alive. I asked Carl to see what he could do; he came up with the one you uploaded which makes Lyle look totally different. Do you go to Websleuths? His detective used to post there; you can find them in this post.

Yours - A note with the word "suicide" was also found.[2] In a nearby waste basket, he had thrown away a letter stating he planned to "disappear," indicating he was planning to request to loved ones not to file a missing person report. He had also described some events that lead up to his decision to end his life.

DOE NET - The fact he wrote the word "suicide" on a piece of paper found in the trash leads authorities to believe he wrote a letter home, telling someone of his intentions, that he was going to disappear, so they aren't looking for him. He may have been dying, or suffered from depression, as he lost a lot of weight, although nothing was found at the autopsy. AdvocateNJ (talk) 18:12, 31 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

You seem to be attempting to get in touch with Gourami Watcher (talk · contribs) specifically, so I've pinged him here for you. You may also wish to leave a message or a {{Talkback}} on his or her talk page. — {{U|Technical 13}} (etc) 18:42, 31 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! This is all so very new to me lol (AdvocateNJ (talk) 19:32, 31 December 2014 (UTC))Reply

I've changed the wording in the article. As for the images, on Wikipedia, we cannot use any image that was not created by the uploader (or if it is in the public domain) unless there is an email sent per OTRS. The reconstruction in the article is also currently being discussed for deletion because it was published somewhere else before Wikipedia. The link to Websleuths didn't work when I clicked it - maybe there was a typo? Thanks --GouramiWatcher(?) 00:51, 1 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Not sure why Lyle's link isn't working for you; it works for me. Google Lyle Stevik Compiled info contributed by coldcaseman will link you to it.

Hi, you can add a comment to the deletion page here by adding your views at the bottom of the page. Your opinion means a lot! --GouramiWatcher(?) 18:49, 1 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much! Sorry it's taken me so long to get back here; been a busy week. I want to make my opinion matter & want to make sure the UP pages don't get deleted. Wiki could make a huge difference in these UP's lives with identification! Look at [Dead Fan] who could very well be identified due to Reddit & Imgur by my friend. Gonna try to set the comment up now --AdvocateNJ (talk) 18:01, 5 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
