Revert vandalism, don't delete it
editIt's great that you're fighting vandalism, like you did here, but when you notice vandalism like that on a page, you can't just delete the words--you should instead go to the page's history and look at what the vandal did. Editors don't only add text, they remove text and the same is true for vandals. Here's what the vandal did, and I only noticed when I came to the page, days and edits later, because there was the word Catego at the bottom of the page, so I went through the old edits to see what had happened.
Looking at article histories and edit differences isn't just crucial in reverting vandalism, it's also unbelievably helpful in every day wiki-editing.
When it is necessary to revert vandalism, or something else, you can edit a previous version of a page, or just undo the previous edit (go to that version of the page, not a difference between edits, and click undo. You could use this tool in reverting vandalism. Remember to be especially clear in your edit summaries when reverting (undoing or editing a previous version of the page).
