editHello, Aikedumanwen, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. Aikedumanwen/Israel–Nigeria relations moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Aikedumanwen/Israel–Nigeria relations, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read! Israel–Nigeria relations article feedback
editHi @Aikedumanwen ProfWellman: Please don't move your sandbox into mainspace. An article on Israel–Nigeria relations already exists.
Inline citations: Before you edit the existing article, keep in mind every statement should be followed by a supporting citation; if a group of sentences are all supported by the same source, you can place a single reference after all of them, but you need to have at least one reference per paragraph, and you shouldn't have any statements after the final reference in a paragraph. If you need a refresher on how to add citations, please consult this training module.
Once you've addressed the inline citations, you need to make improvements to the existing Wikipedia article. Keep in mind to add your text to the existing article in small sections, not just add all of it at once. Be careful to not copy over sections/text that you didn't edit. We want to be respectful of the existing text. If you need a refresher on how to do this, please review this training module.
Also it seems like you want to change some of the section headers and organization of the article, which is a really big change. Those kinds of changes are better discussed in the talk page, before they are made to reach consensus about the structure and body of the article. I suggest you post on the article talk page what you plan to add to the article before making those edits. I also suggest posting on the WikiProject Israel talk page, if anyone would like to chime in on the proposed edits.
I know this is a lot of information so please let me know if you have any questions. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:15, 12 May 2023 (UTC)
