• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. • Note - the source posting states "Hey this selfie is totally wide open a la Creative Commons regarding copyright, so please feel free to use it as a 2024 wikipedia photo, etc." which is insufficient. Creative Commons is a family of licenses of which some are acceptable for Wikipedia, and others are not. The declaration needs to be more specific naming a particular license (and version). For example, {{Cc-by-4.0}} would be an acceptable license. -- Whpq (talk) 03:26, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
