Airplane Master
Welcome!
editHello, Airplane Master, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Pop Goes the World did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

editPlease refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Fernando (song), without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Robvanvee 07:01, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
Did you know that I am a second account of a user from 2017 with 5.5k edits? - Watch out! The Airplane Master (talk) 17:34, 6 July 2020 (UTC)'s come to take you down!
- Did you know that I don't really care and in saying that you are admitting to violating policy at Wikipedia. You need to link both the main and alternative account user pages, either informally or using the userbox templates made for the purpose. Secondly, if you continue to contravene the verifiability policy by adding unsourced information, you will lose your editing privileges! Robvanvee 10:20, 26 May 2020 (UTC)

editPlease stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's no original research policy by adding your personal analysis or synthesis into articles, as you did at New wave music, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 22:21, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- I did not add any false claims into the article, I just described it as such. I am not a disruptive editor at all, I have actually been editing since 2003, that was just my way of explaining things. Problems? - A bird came around, and waved with the Airplane Master (talk) 17:32, 6 July 2020 (UTC).
- You argued your point in the edit summaries, and your point was that you knew better than the sources what genre should be displayed. Wikipedia is based on published material describing a topic, not on an editor's seat-of-the-pants assessment. The relevant policy is at WP:No original research.
- One of the things you wrote in an edit summary was "In the late-1970s, NOBODY who thought of 'new wave' even thought of pop." Patently false. In the March 1978 issue of Bomp! magazine, chief editor Greg Shaw joined with contributors Gary Sperrazza and Ken Barnes to map out how power pop was giving birth to new wave. In April 1978, Trouser Press carried a similar piece about power pop's relationship to new wave. You can find a description of these articles in the Theo Cateforis book Are We Not New Wave?: Modern Pop at the Turn of the 1980s. The title is a clue, too.
- Another thing you wrote was, "Either way, pop is not capitalized, whereas Punk is." Also false. Wikipedia uses sentence case for genre capitalization. Binksternet (talk) 23:32, 30 June 2020 (UTC)
- I know very well about those policies. - A bird came around, and waved with the Airplane Master (talk) 17:32, 6 July 2020 (UTC).

editPlease stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at New wave music, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 17:20, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- ENOUGH! ENOUGH! This is one of many of my accounts. The thing is, none of the readers are even going to see the commentary, unless they are the type that reads ahead. The main point is that the statement was violating WP:OR and WP:VNT as it was never directly stated in the articles. Second of all, read any foreign-language article (or external site blog) and you will see what I am talking about. - So this is where the Airplane Master (talk) 17:32, 6 July 2020 (UTC) tests his planes, huh?
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at Gangnam Style. Robvanvee 08:43, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at LASER Airlines, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Robvanvee 08:51, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
- Shut up. Anyone can propose a deletion, as per the policies. You are not an admin, you cannot just decide to close my proposal. Why don't you read WP:DP again? If you call that vandalism, you obviously need to take basic Wikipedia lessons again. - A bird came around, and waved with the Airplane Master (talk) 08:55, 8 July 2020 (UTC).
EDIT: I read the policies again, it says that it must not be objected to by anyone, just don't block me now, let me re-read every policy from scratch.
A discussion was created over a month before the merge, so you had ample time to participate in it. If you still disagree, feel free to indeed comment in that discussion (before trying to revert again, that is). Erpert blah, blah, blah... 17:22, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- It seems like with all of the sources on the previous article, this just couldn't violate WP:GNG. Dusick is sufficient enough to merit his own article. This is a Danza Kuduro situation. - A bird came around, and waved with the Airplane Master (talk) 17:32, 6 July 2020 (UTC).
- I'm not sure what that reference is supposed to mean; at any rate, you were invited to take part in the discussion on the talk page, but you just ignored it and reverted again. And judging by the rest of your talk page, there seems to be an element of WP:NOTHERE going on. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 14:20, 7 July 2020 (UTC)
- Kindly do not ever call me a disruptive editor again, I am a long-term editor here at Wikipedia. Somebody told me, you had an Airplane Master (talk) 21:33, 28 July 2020 (UTC).

Restarting.
editI had a rough start at my return to Wikipedia, so, after re-reading each policy, I will be fully resuming active work here as of today, with a focus on Aviation and Pop Music. Apologies for any articles I messed up. - Somebody told me, you had an Airplane Master (talk) 21:37, 28 July 2020 (UTC).
slack
editYour deletion of a section removes useful info, not the best choice. One alternative way to keep this information is to move it into a separate article, or a navigation template listing similar items in the same class. This way one avoids singling out that item as one to have alternatives mentioned on its page. I think alternatives may be mentioned in an article if the one at hand has obvious and strong inconveniences accepted by most. Slack alternatives are mentioned as a response to slack keeping company private info in servers outside the company, and not providing a self hosting version. Better yet is a page that compares alternatives. Wikipedia has many pages of all 3 types (lists, navigation templates, comparisons). Cobanyastigi (talk) 10:19, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
"Wikipedia:SOURCE?" listed at Redirects for discussion
editA discussion is taking place to address the redirect Wikipedia:SOURCE?. The discussion will occur at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 August 9#Wikipedia:SOURCE? until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. – The Grid (talk) 00:05, 9 August 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Airplane Master,
please, write something in the article discussion, where I explained the reason for my edit.
Regards 85.193.228.103 (talk) 21:57, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
- I responded to the message. - It's Airplane Master (talk) 07:40, 3 September 2020 (UTC), from State Farm.
Queen are not an English band, because Freddie was not English. He was a British citizen, born in Zanzibar and raised in India. That is sufficient for the lede of his own article, and is sufficient for the Queen article. If you have a good reason to change it, please start a discussion on the article's talk page. ... discospinster talk 15:48, 1 October 2020 (UTC)
You have now been reverted three times now on this change. Do not edit war. There has been quite extensive discussion on this matter on the talk page, please read it.
Regarding your comment; "Freddie is both a citizen and a celebrity of England." I don't know what his official status was, but it certainly wasn't "citizen of England", because that is not an official documentation you can hold. He may, however, have applied to hold British citizenship. And he was every bit a celebrity throughout Britain. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 16:11, 1 October 2020 (UTC)

editMultiple accounts and project space
editHi Airplane Master,
I stumbled upon this account when browsing the edit history of WP:NOR. There are no current concerns from my side, as the last such edit was months ago. I'd just like to note that...
Editors must not use alternative accounts to mislead, deceive, disrupt, or undermine consensus. This includes, but is not limited to:
[excerpts:]
- Editing project space: Undisclosed alternative accounts are not to be used in discussions internal to the project.
- Avoiding scrutiny: Using alternative accounts that are not fully and openly disclosed to split your editing history means that other editors may not be able to detect patterns in your contributions. While this is permitted in certain circumstances (see legitimate uses), it is a violation of this policy to create alternative accounts to confuse or deceive editors who may have a legitimate interest in reviewing your contributions.
— WP:Sockpuppetry, sections WP:PROJSOCK and WP:SCRUTINY
Please take a moment to confirm your understanding of these two bullet points, or to openly disclose your previous accounts.
Thanks and best regards,
~ ToBeFree (talk) 20:37, 24 February 2021 (UTC)
- Good afternoon, ToBeFree, at the moment I actually do not use any alternative accounts at all, however, thanks for reaching out, and if I missed something, please let me know.
Regards. - Air + Plane + Master = Airplane Master (talk) 18:42, 25 February 2021 (UTC).
