Hi Airplanenerd. I have read your message at Talk:Drag (physics), offering to make some substantial improvements to that article. Your offer is welcome! That is what Wikipedia is all about.
Writing for Wikipedia is not simply about writing down what we believe is true. Being an encyclopedia, we are expected to support our writings with references and citations so that our information is independently verifiable. At WP:Verifiability you can read that The threshhold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. To ensure adequate verifiability, we are expected to provide references and in-line citations to support our additions. So as well as working out how you might edit Drag (physics) please give some thought to what references and in-line citations you would add. This makes it a little more demanding than simply writing down what you believe to be true. To find out more about making citations see WP:CITE.
The way I now go about making substantial changes to articles is to use my personal sandbox. I can work out how I want the article to look, then I can use the relevant Talk page to invite other users to give me their comments. Hopefully, this achieves some measure of consensus among interested users. To arrange your own personal sandbox, look at WP:SP#How to create user subpages.
