Wellcome and some fixes
editHi Ajcee7
Wellcome to Wikipedia. I read your three articles. I hope to read even more. In Wikipedia all contributers can edit on the existing articles. But except for linking and categorizing, I prefer to send messages instead of changing the original text. I want to point out that Hellespont of the antiquity does not connect Aegean to Black Sea unless you consider the Sea of Marmara as a part of Black Sea. Also Çanakkale is not a district of Balıkesir Province. It is a province of its own right. Happy editting. Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 12:52, 27 January 2011 (UTC)
Hi Nedim, thanks for pointing those things out, I've made the necessary changes. I've tried to put a map into the page for Ophryneion, but it hasn't come out right - do you know how to fix this? I am very new to writing articles on Wikipedia. Ajcee7 (talk) 15:29, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
- How about this one ? Nedim Ardoğa (talk) 01:34, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Many thanks for your help; I tried this out, but it's still not working on the page, I don't know why. If you could figure out what's going wrong I'd be most grateful. Ajcee7 (talk) 02:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
- Got it sorted. Ajcee7 (talk) 12:46, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
DYK for Hamaxitus
editOn 7 February 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Hamaxitus, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
Congratulations!
editI want to congratulate you for your articles about ancient Greek cities of the Troad and other poleis. I am taking advantage of the information that you have included to extend the same articles that I wrote in Wikipedia in Spanish or create them from scratch. Excuse my English, I have very basic knowledge. Thanks. Best wishes. Dorieo (talk) 22:44, 7 April 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks! I'm glad they've been useful, and intend to keep them up-to-date as I learn more about this region. Good luck with your project! Ajcee7 (talk) 16:53, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
