The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!   Hello, I'm Mojo Hand. I noticed that in this edit to Sir Salimullah Medical College, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Mojo Hand (talk) 15:01, 17 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

salimullah medical college is not second largest medical college. Health ministry declared Chittagong medical college as second largest medical college. So, it was false information.
Here is the proof

Your recent edit provides an explanation and a source, so I would consider it appropriate. However, please keep in mind that if your edit is reverted more than once, the Wikipedia community expectation is to address the issue on the article talk page rather than to keep pushing your change. Even if you believe you are correct, it is considered edit warring to continue to revert other people. Reverting more than 3 times in a 24 hour period is the bright line violation that usually results in blocking an editor from Wikipedia.
Let me know if you have any questions.--Mojo Hand (talk) 15:37, 17 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Why this information is reverted again? Ajijul Islam emon104 (talk) 02:33, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Looks like you and another editor disagree about the reliability of sources. As I said above, the proper place to have the argument is on the article talk page rather than continuing to edit war.--Mojo Hand (talk) 14:05, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
He should give a official notice as I give. He is showing a article of newspaper. I didn't make him understand that Wikipedia is the most trusted source. So, avoiding information that is not gov't. recognised shouldn't be added. You should make him understand that point. Ajijul Islam emon104 (talk) 14:14, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I gave an edit warring notice.--Mojo Hand (talk) 14:43, 18 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that one or more recent edit(s) you made did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing →   Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Kautilya3 (talk) 14:24, 21 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Citing web sources

edit

Thank you for your interest in improving Bangladesh-related articles.

To cite a reference available on the internet, give the URL of the specific web page where the referenced content can be found. In Bandarban District, the URL https://bbs.portal.gov.bd/site/page/b432a7e5-8b4d-4dac-a76c-a9be4e85828c fails verification for all statements about ethnic groups because that page says nothing about ethnicity. Perhaps you have mistakenly given a shallow URL, a high level page from which one could click one or more links to eventually arrive at a web page that supports the content. If that is the case, the solution is for you to cite the deeper URL where the information actually appears.

If the deeper link is to a long pdf document, you should also specify what page or pages support the statement you're making. Page numbers are especially important if you are deriving information by performing mathematical operations on what is in the original source. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:45, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

You should open the link and search chakma, Marma individualy. Then you will find their population and make percentage from total population. Bengali percentage is taken from second URL. Ajijul Islam emon104 (talk) 00:50, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, it is not the reader's responsibility to hunt through the website for the right link. The burden is on you as the editor who wants to include the information to provide the correct URL for it. If you don't, anyone can remove the content. --Worldbruce (talk) 05:17, 3 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Spelling of "census"

edit

Hi Ajijul Islam emon104! I wanted to kindly bring to your attention that I have noticed the spelling of "census" has been written as "cencus" in several of your recent edits. I appreciate your contributions and just wanted to ensure the correct spelling is used in the future. Thanks again! Wikipedialuva (talk) 07:52, 4 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
