Maria Sharapova pic
editHi! You recently put this pic on the Maria Sharapova article and created a photos section, but since the article shouldn't turn into a gallery (that's not its purpose) you might want to submit it to a related Sharapova website for display. I'm removing the pic and section from the article, but leaving the pic on your talk page so it doesn't get orphaned and deleted. You can remove it from your talk page if you prefer that Wikipedia not keep the image on their servers if it's not going to be used in the Sharapova article. Thanks for the two pics, though. --Noelle De Guzman (talk) 06:33, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
- Actually the issue was concerning the addition of a "Photo" section. Check Talk:Maria Sharapova for the rationale behind the removal of the section. --Noelle De Guzman (talk) 02:43, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

- Ok. Well you should have suggested to change the format not delete part of the article. I'll be restructuring the page to re-insert the removed picture and add on the side and not in a separate section. See also the International Space Station that has 25 images in my count or these other ones: Moon, Lance Armstrong, George W. Bush. --User:Akademan (talk) 1p.m., April 2nd 2006 (PDT)
- I see, and thank you for taking the initiative. The reason I put the pic in your talk page after I removed it from the article was because I didn't want it to be orphaned (and automatically deleted by bot). I knew the pic was valuable and could be used in other ways, but didn't know where it could go in the article. I meant no offense to you. --Noelle De Guzman (talk) 14:29, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

The photo of Maria at Indian Wells 2005 seems not only outdated but rather biased against her. The 2005 tournament was the one where she lost 6-0, 6-0 against Lindsay Davenport. However, she won the tournament in 2006. If there is to be a photographic representation of Maria from this or any tournament, why purposely pick the one (out of so many photographs available) which clearly shows her in the most unfavourable light? A photo from 2006 Indian Wells would be far more relevant and appropriate and should be substituted in place of the 2005 one, or at least a neutral photograph of another tournament - 23 June 2006.
Andre Agassi picture
editWith Andre Agassi Indian Wells 2006.jpg you uploaded a quite good picture of Andre Agassi. It would be great if you could also upload it to Wikimedia Commons to make it available for all Wikipedias. --212.204.66.66 13:11, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
