Hello, I'm Rusty Cat. I noticed that in this edit to Mark Karpelès, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Rusty 🐈 15:30, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Akihawaranabiak. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:11, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Jimfbleak I can confirm that I do not have any conflict of interest (COI). Akihawaranabiak (talk) 01:19, 12 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Possible sockpuppetry

edit

Hello, Akihawaranabiak, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Lustigermutiger21 (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. – notwally (talk) 22:22, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Notwally, the only article I'm currently working on is the one about Mark Karpeles, as I’ve been closely following his story for a long time. I’ve put in significant effort to ensure every sentence is backed by reliable sources. I would appreciate it if we could reach a consensus rather than seeing days of work deleted. I’m open to constructive criticism and would love to collaborate, but please refrain from making unfounded accusations of sockpuppetry or vandalism. Let's work together to improve the article. Akihawaranabiak (talk) 01:18, 12 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Update: I have removed some parts that 1) relied on only one source, or 2) were irrelevant to the section.
Please avoid altering the overall structure of the article, as the Mt. Gox bankruptcy was a lengthy and complex process. I believe the current organization of the sections has proven effective in explaining the events over time. Akihawaranabiak (talk) 01:24, 12 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
