Thank you for your comment

I narrowly missed uploading the Verinag spring panorama photo (File:Panorama of Verinag Spring.jpg) under the 'Wiki loves monuments' in my wish to modify the image in a better way. I really thank you for appreciating my photograph. It encourages me to share more. I have put a three photos of the Martand Sun Temple in Kashmir. Please do check them out. Also I was having slight trouble in putting the panorama of the Sun temple on the page and the alignment does not render right when seen on an Ubuntu machine running firefox, though on Windows it looks almost fine. It would be nice if you could help align it properly. Thanks again — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gk1089 (talkcontribs) 17:52, 4 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Creating Panoramas

edit

Thank you for your edits on the Martand Sun Temple. A panorama is nothing but a stitched together version of a large scene captured part by part. Many cameras offer this feature out of the box these days but it is not essential. You just have to capture the images keeping in mind that they have similar exposures and focus settings and that there is an overlap of 20% to 30% between two adjacent images. Once you have a bunch of images, you can use one of the many panorama making tools available online, many of which are free (Autostich is one such). I have personally used Adobe Photoshop CS5 and the results that I have got is the panorama created in fully automatic mode. I know that the sky and the trees in the photos are over exposed, but that also means that the otherwise darker areas in the image are properly exposed- which was more important. So, fish out your camera... even the mobile camera works great and create some panoramas. Let me know if I can be of any further help. --Gk1089 (talk) 09:40, 5 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
