Is there a way to specify in the template how often one wants to receive messages? — Sebastian 15:30, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hi, and thanks for being interested in SuggestBot! This template is only for those who want to try the bot once, which is why SuggestBot removes the template when it posts the suggestions (so as to prevent it posting multiple times). We have a separate template and/or userbox that will have SuggestBot post once a week, every other week, or monthly, see instructions for those here. Unfortunately, getting suggestions periodically doesn't currently allow you to specify articles/categories to receive suggestions from, but that's on our list of ideas. Let me know if there's anything else about SuggestBot I can help you with! Regards, Nettrom (talk) 15:47, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your fast reply. I realized this now when the bot removed the template. Sorry if it's already in the documentation and I overlooked it. I now realized (see my comment on your main talk page) that you have a different template for regular updates. You might want to consider renaming this template to something that expresses that it is only temporary, such as "trial". — Sebastian 16:12, 6 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about the delay this time around, I've had a few very busy days. You bring up a good point about the template name being confusing, "trial" or "tryout" or something similar to that might be a better idea. I've made a note of it and will make sure it gets a better name. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, and for the good idea on how to solve it!
