Greetings! Are you sure about the proper translation of the Chinese title of Gödel, Escher, Bach? Just wondering, as it differs from the one mentioned in the new edition of the book itself (which was the version you changed it from). Mindspillage (spill your mind?) 00:01, 7 Jan 2005 (UTC)
- Looking at my copy of Le Ton Beau de Marot (can't find GEB, but he talks about the title again in LTbdM), it is indeed given as "exotic"; I'm changing the article. Sadly, I don't speak any Chinese myself... would be interesting to see how the translation of the book is pulled off in such a distant language! Hello Alaz, thank you very much for your message. You are right, it does not seem to be a holiday in mainland China. I am sorry about that; I had only lived in Hong Kong and I took it for granted that festivals like these would be public holidays. (I was working on an article for Macau's holidays and was scouting around.) I had actually looked at Wikipedia's own Holidays in mainland China article only. If you know more about the holidays in China, maybe you might want to change that article a bit too? -- KittySaturn 07:43, 2005 Mar 29 (UTC)
