Re:Helloo
editIts from the Lord of the Rings. Legolas was the elf played by Orlando Bloom in the movie. The name's from there. --Legolas (talk2me) 08:35, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

2009 in film
editI am glad that you contributed to the Top-grossing film with a source. But if you are going to use a source that isn't already used, keep it consistent. Change all of the grosses, not just a select few so that what you want is first. BOVINEBOY2008 12:36, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks!
editI first learned of the project when it was still fairly new. Even so, there were a lot of really glaring omissions which I discovered when writing other articles. I'm glad you like! :) Anything I can do for ya, let me know. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:11, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
- You bet. Enjoy your time here. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:53, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
I just wanted to bring something to your attention.I have noticed tha user:Max24 is a very regular vandalizer, for example, almost all the recent edits hes made to the celine dion pages are unsourced or going againstthe source.look up his recent changes to celine dion discography and the colour of my love.thanks for your assistance in the matter, and i appreciate you looking into the sockpuppet accusation.--Aldamira (talk) 16:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
- I did check; Max24 is an established user with a long history of edits to those subjects. The best thing you could do at this point would be to politely discuss any edits you may have concerns about directly with him on his talk page. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:12, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Assuming good faith
editThe checkuser was inconclusive, so I'm going to assume good faith and unblock the account. I wish you luck and I am very sorry for the hassle. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 22:08, 23 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello PMDrive1061,it seems ive been blocked again for no apparent reason,i have not vandalized or had any issues,if you could please help me out with this problem.--Aldamira (talk) 06:16, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Aldamira, please look here for why you were blocked. BOVINEBOY2008 12:40, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- We've had this discussion before. Log in as Petergriffin9901, use the {{unblock}} macro there, and see if you can persuade someone to unblock you. Until then, any account you use will be blocked, and any edits those accounts make will be reverted. I can see that in just a few days with this account, you've received multiple warnings for edit warring and the use of unreliable sources: precisely what you were blocked for in the first place, so I don't hold out much hope.—Kww(talk) 19:03, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!!in not a sockpuppet!and i havent had edit warring,i made a change and ppl didnt think it was reliable so i said ok,and went on with my day.i did nothing wrong, this is completely unjust!--Aldamira (talk) 22:00, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
you realize what your saying, that bc of an ip address that the whole FIU south in miami beach shares, which has over 18,000 students comes up in my history thats grounds to block a new editor....look at the wikipedia rules that is not grounds for blocking....final verdict-bc aldamira made changes sourced changes to mariah carey pages including probably a hundred more hes being blocked.this is completely unjust.--Aldamira (talk) 22:00, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- You can always try using {{unblock}} here, but I think you'll just get laughed at. It's pretty obvious who you are, and I would be flabbergasted if anyone unblocked you.—Kww(talk) 00:56, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
You know i wasnt asking your opinion Kww, so stop meddling yourself where you dont belong, youve submitted your poor evidence now go on with your life....btw, i looked into these other accounts you claim im part of,and i found it really funny how your the little puppet behind the scenes begging administrators such as :Philippe and :Versageek and :PMDrive1061 to block this person bc of an edit they made to a mariah carey page.It pains me to say this but you are obviously a insecure individual in the real world who wants power and cant even have it on wikipedia, your very obviously a wannabe administrator, which youll never be.--Aldamira (talk) 01:46, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Best-selling albums
edit- my edit was not unconstructive, I added a new reliable source.Christo jones (talk) 19:03, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Aldamira, Popdirt is not a realiable source. Simone Jackson (talk) 01:04, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
Re: Recent Edit
editHi there. Regarding your warning and revision of my edit, both have been ignored and reverted. However I probably should have explained with an edit summary as to why I reverted the sales numbers of Baby One More Time back to 25 million in the first place. Popdirt.com is not a reputable source when it comes to album sales figures, as it's more of a blog than an actual sales figures chart website. Anybody can log onto the site, make an account and add their own original research when it comes to their favorite artists and that artist's album sales. Any type of blog, fansite or other website that contains original research from that site or blog's owner or one of its members is not a proper source for Wikipedia. Not only that, the source you provided for the Baby One More Time article was contributed by a member of the site who is clearly a fanboy/fangirl of Spears (which is clearly seen here), and therefore one can assume that their mentioning of BOMT selling 26 million is a biased claim. Furthermore, the source is not an official article on Britney's album sales statistics, but rather, the article speaks of Britney's album sales vs. Christina Aguilera's album sales, and generally doesn't read as a professional article or review.
To further back up the claim that Popdirt.com is not a reliable music source, there's another article on the site that was contributed anonymously that states BOMT sales at only "24" million, as seen here. Not only that, this particular article (posted on the site 12/24/04) states Britney's total album sales at over 100 million. This was clearly inaccurate and not the case back in 2004, nor today in 2009.
Simply put, Popdirt.com doesn't meet the requirements of WP:V or WP:RS, and therefore cannot be used as a source for any type of sales figures from any artist listed on Wikipedia. When it comes to replacing sources, the replacement should not be "dumbed down", so to speak, and one must take into account the fact that the source being replaced must be done so by a source that is not only up-to-date, but moreso, exceeds the reliability and verifiability of the previous. Replacing the foxnews.com source with a source from popdirt.com, in this case, isn't acceptable, and therefore has been reverted. Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier) 21:31, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
you know what,your right and i understand...sorry for the hassle--Aldamira (talk) 04:48, 26 May 2009 (UTC)

editNow Aldamira, I can see you're a new editor here, so let me just take this time to remind you that you're currently engaged in an edit war with user Christo jones on the List of best-selling albums worldwide article. Reverting somebody's edit in an article more than 3 times within a 24 hour period will result in your account banned for a period of time. If two editors are in disagreement within a section of an article, it's up to those editors to discuss the matter through their own talk pages, or the talk page of the article in question. Edit warring is pretty bad for any article and should be avoided at all costs. See WP:EW. Percxyz (Call me Percy, it's easier) 21:52, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Unblock Request
editAldamira (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am a new editor at wikipedia,i make my edits from my college which is FIU south in miami.I have made probably 100 edits and have been accused of being a sockpuppet.i was blocked already once, then unblocked bc i explained myself to an administrator.then all of a sudden im blocked again for the same false reason.my ip address is shared by over 18,000 students so i dont think thats grounds to unblock me.these last 4 days in which i have been editing i have made many edits, all of which have been sourced.some of the edits were disputed by some people,so i saw thier point and went on,there was no dispute or edit war.so i please ask any administer to please unblock me,bc i am not a sockpuppet of anyone and i have never and will never vandalize.
Decline reason:
Sorry but you share both an editing pattern and an IP address with a prolific vandal and sockpuppeteer. It's not the IP alone, we realize that IP addresses are often shared. The evidence goes deeper. If this is, somehow, a coincidence, it's going to be impossible to convince of that. Mangojuicetalk 03:30, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
