Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. Remember that when adding content about health, please only use high-quality reliable sources as references. We typically use review articles, major textbooks and position statements of national or international organizations. (There are several kinds of sources that discuss health: here is how the community classifies them and uses them.) WP:MEDHOW walks you through editing step by step. A list of resources to help edit health content can be found here. The edit box has a built-in citation tool to easily format references based on the PMID or ISBN.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which has a button "Cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "Automatic" or "Manual"
  3. For Manual: Choose the most appropriate template and fill in the details, then click "Insert"
  4. For Automatic: Paste the URL or PMID/PMC and click "Generate" and if the article is available on PubMed Central, Citoid will populate a citation which can be inserted by clicking "Insert"

We also provide style advice about the structure and content of medicine-related encyclopedia articles. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. I left an answer on the Talk page of Theroadislong, as that is where the content of the two articles from The Hindu were placed. David notMD (talk) 15:09, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

In my opinion the draft Suresh Sharma as written will not be accepted because it does not achieve Wikipedia's criteria for notability. While the text of the draft is about protecting trees, the references make clear that his interests in the trees are closely linked to his attempt to develop a diabetes cure. Same opinion on any draft about Kadam extract as a diabetes treatment, as it does not meet WP:MEDRS. I am not a reviewer, so I have no power to make a decision on this draft or any other draft. David notMD (talk) 16:35, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have deleted suresh sharma mention on neolamarckia cadamba page why please update me , as when the article has significant mention of kadam tree protection by suresh sharma Alekh99 (talk) 16:42, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Neolamarckia cadamba : suresh sharma edit

edit

The article which i mention for suresh sharma has a significant mention about his efforts of protecting kadam tree. Also wiki general notability guidelines states clearly that wiki needs significant coverage but does not need to be the main topic of source material . Alekh99 (talk) 17:23, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Your material doesn't belong in the article's lead section. Please read a few other botany articles to see what sort of section you need to create. It probably is inappropriate to use your relative's name in the article. You need to understand and communicate in your edit the context surrounding your relative's campaign: was tree native or introduced to the area? why trees being cut? was campaign successful? how is that species important to that area of Rajasthan? Ecosystem? It's understandable that you wish to memorialise him, but article concerns a species of plant only.
The article has a Talk page which you must use for this discussion in future. WP:Edit warring is a prime offence which can have your account blocked. Discussion on article's Talk page is the way forward.--Quisqualis (talk) 17:37, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
But previously in January this year I updated and asked how to upload a news article which is not avaliable online nobody guided.i ask you now please tell me how to upload the article which is not online. I understand i will create another section for this . Alekh99 (talk) 17:56, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also the campaign was successful i have the court order sheet with which clearly states that “ there should not be felling of kadam tree throughout the state of Rajasthan Alekh99 (talk) 17:58, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

The article you have used as a source is available online, here. However, it does not support the information you added here – it does not mention Neolamarckia cadamba but Mitragyna parvifolia, and says nothing about the campaign being successful. If the tree is in fact protected in Rajasthan, there has to be a secondary source stating that; in that case the information could be added to the article body (not the lede!) but probably without the text about who filed the writ, as that is not relevant to the article about the tree. --bonadea contributions talk 18:08, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
I will clear few things
1. This is the journalist fault that he writes Mitragyna parvifolia in bracket but before he wrote kadamb as neolamarckia cadamba callef in hindi as kadamb .
2.i have other article also in which at last you paragraph it is clearly mention that suresh sharma filed a writ to protect kadamb tree .https://www.thehindu.com/herbal cure for diabetes type II granted patent.
3. I have court order sheet also which states clearly that there should not be felling of kadam tree in the state of rajasthan.
4. I have a hindi language and a english language news article which cleary says about a successful campaign of banning of reckless cutting of kadam tree in rajasthan but these two article not available online .so please guide me how to upload these two article and court order sheet. Alekh99 (talk) 18:24, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
The other news article is for my point 2 is as below:
1.Visit http://www.thehindu.com
2.sign up and then sign in
3. Search “Herbal cure for type II diabetes granted patent ::::Alekh99 (talk) 18:43, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Also share your email i will mail you the articles which are not online and the court oder sheet Alekh99 (talk) 18:47, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Use the article talk page and provide the details about the news articles there. Nothing needs to be emailed, or uploaded anywhere. --bonadea contributions talk 18:49, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thanks i will do the same Alekh99 (talk) 18:52, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
You do not need to upload the article. You can cite it as a reference. See: In-line citations for how to do it. Note that the tree's status in Rajasthan may not be a top concern outside of that state, and a sacred grove of this plant is not of high interest for the article, being man-made, so keep your new addition very brief and confine it to the "cultural significance" section of the article.--Quisqualis (talk) 20:19, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I will make brief edit in cultural significance Alekh99 (talk) 06:43, 30 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Edit-warring offence

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you.--Quisqualis (talk) 17:40, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Suresh Sharma Reply

Firstly I need to ask whether you have any relationship to Suresh Sharma, in particularly are you his son Alekh Sharma? If so then you have a definite conflict of interest and you are contravening Wikipedia's guidelines. Secondly I tried to clarify the reasons for refusal in my comments, essentially it needs to be established that there is significant coverage about Suresh, not merely mentions in passing - such as the DNAIndia reference. Simply lodging a writ against the government to stop the logging of kadam tree does not make him notable. It would assist if access to those references were not blocked behind a subscription site. Dan arndt (talk) 09:37, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
