Linking breadsticks to.previously existing article

I would like to link am article that I just submitted to an article that already exists and currently refers to my new article and says would you like to create one (paraphrasing). How is that done? Gamorosia (talk) 13:49, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Articles linking

In my previous note breadstick should read article. Spellcheck!! Gamorosia (talk) 14:33, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Gamorosia, to link an article to another, you just place the name of the article you want to link to in square brackets. E.g. [[main page]] produces main page, etc. ~~ Alex Noble - talk 16:08, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

Is it okay that I answered someone's question at the teahouse?

Subject line is self-explanatory. I answered someone's fairly simple question, but now I'm wondering if I was supposed to. Do you have insight on that? Thanks, King of Scorpions 19:44, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

King of Scorpions, yes, absolutely fine. The hosts section only puts a picture in the header, and isn't a requirement or anything.
You might want to have a look at Wikipedia:Help desk/How to answer. It's for the help desk, but similar principles apply. Wikipedia:Teahouse/Host lounge/Expectations is also helpful. ~~ Alex Noble - talk 08:27, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

New Page Reviewer newsletter February 2020

Hello Alex Noble/Archives/2020,

Source Guide Discussion

The first NPP source guide discussion is now underway. It covers a wide range of sources in Ghana with the goal of providing more guidance to reviewers about sources they might see when reviewing pages. Hopefully, new page reviewers will join others interested in reliable sources and those with expertise in these sources to make the discussion a success.

Redirects

New to NPP? Looking to try something a little different? Consider patrolling some redirects. Redirects are relatively easy to review, can be found easily through the New Pages Feed. You can find more information about how to patrol redirects at WP:RPATROL.

Discussions and Resources
Refresher

Geographic regions, areas and places generally do not need general notability guideline type sourcing. When evaluating whether an article meets this notability guideline please also consider whether it might actually be a form of WP:SPAM for a development project (e.g. PR for a large luxury residential development) and not actually covered by the guideline.

Can provide more evidence

There is more evidence that can be provided Sahilebrahim (talk) 20:36, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Regarding PES Society Sahilebrahim (talk) 20:36, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Sahilebrahim, then post it as a comment to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PES Society. It works the same as any other talk page. Once something gets posted at AFD, unless there is unanimous consensus I'm wrong, it stays for seven days for editors to decide if it meets the criteria. ~~ Alex Noble - talk 20:39, 19 February 2020 (UTC)

Deleted page.

Confused as to why my wiki creation was deleted. All the sources were relevant, and from a range of sources. Being the largest independent bus operator in Greater Manchester, I think theres a right that the company has it's own page.. AlexW480 (talk) 16:25, 22 February 2020 (UTC)

AlexW480, we determine what can have an article by the general notability guideline, which states that everything here has to have received significant coverage in reliable, independent sources. Looking at past discussions, for example Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Go Goodwins (2nd nomination), and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Pilkingtons Buses, it doesn't seem like the kind of company where we assume this coverage exists unless it is presented in the draft.
Especially considering they are a fairly new company, I doubt they have received this significant coverage. If they have, there is nothing stopping you adding it to the draft, and resubmitting it. ~~ Alex Noble - talk 16:49, 22 February 2020 (UTC)
