American radio show about wikipedia
editHi
My name is Robin Amer and I’m a producer for an American public radio show called Open Source, which you can check out at www.radioopensource.org.
I’m writing you because this week we’re doing a show on Wikipedia including an interview with Jim Wales. We’re also looking for some particularly passionate and interesting Wikipedia users to talk to, especially users outside the US. I would love to talk to you about your involvement with the site. If you are interested, please give me a call at 617-497-8096, or email me at robinamer@riseup.net and send me your phone number.
Thanks so much.
Best, Robin Amer www.radioopensource.org
message from Dagadt
editHi Alexander! Would you be so kind to translate the following text into russian? If Yes I´d be very glad! Please use - of course - the cyrillic letters.
For more information about (in english) Hi! I´m Wikipedia User since 30th April 2007. My user name isn´t my real name, but a hungarian friend calls me Dagadt. My hobbies are flying, soccer (I´m FC Chelsea supporter) and swimming. Over and above I´m fond of airlines, general aviation and Area 51! Besides I´m interested in Asian culture and languages. So I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese and maybe a bit Russian. You can say I´m an insider in the way of airlines insider. If you need help with planning a travel I would be glad to help you. - WOW! Absolutly study! Thank you very much, I´ll insert the translation soon. Great job!Dagadt (talk) 12:44, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Soviet Aviation Task Force Invitation
editHi! I noticed you are fluent in both Russian and English and was hoping you would join the Soviet Aviation Task Force and translate some of our missing articles into English. Many of the articles on the list are Heroes of the Soviet Union that have articles in many languages except English, and others on the list are major plane crashes that have yet to be articles on English Wiki. We also have many stubs that can easily be expanded through translation from Russian. I really hope you can join our task force and assist in translating. We really need some native Russian speakers at our task force, and you seem like a great candidate. Thank you, --PlanespotterA320 (talk) 14:24, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
