As you've haven't got one (though you don't need the hints provided as far as I can see, as you're already deep within wiki-work), have a slightly belated

Stadtmauer
editHey there, Alexander.
The translation looks pretty good to me. I did do a little clean-up for you (minor capitalisation, grammar, etc). Also, are you on a new keyboard because you used 'z' instead of 'y' in a couple of spots. But, it's all easily fixed.
I have to admit to not having a very good knowledge of fortifications. (Which is kind of why I shied away from translating it in the first place. ^^) But I think de:Brüstung here means parapets, with de:Schießscharten meaning arrow slits and de:Zinnen meaning merlons. I'm not one-hundred percent sure though.
Maybe you might want to ask one of the users who is active in the fortification category to double-check that everything makes sense? It looks like maybe User:Shoka might be a good place to start.
Hope that helps! -Maaya 01:44, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks.
Yes I am on a new keyboard (that is, I changed from a US to a German one halfway through the sections I have done. Thanks for the help (and indeed the hint as to who to ask.
Thanks again ACH 09:17, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Hi Alexander
I'm happy to help, but expert I'm not. The Defensive wall article has irritated me as well.
http://www.angelfire.com/wy/svenskildbiter/madict.html is my favorite site for explanation of english fortification terminology. I have no language skill to offer I'm afraid, so translation is not my forte.
Where is your translation available? The original article looks interesting.--Shoka 21:07, 8 December 2005 (UTC)
Translation Barnstar
editSorry to butt in (again), but I noticed your comment on Sheynhertz's talk page; something like that is on its way, see here, Rosetta Barnstar. Lectonar 08:03, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
Sanssouci Merger?
editSorry I've been a while doing not a lot. I'm confused about how to merge the two articles since 69.192.9.65 did so unilaterally on the 28th of January. There really seems to me to have been no significant changes to the article between me posting the preliminary translation and this copying from my talk page. Therefore I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do. I've posted a similar comment here. Thanks. Trebor27trebor 12:56, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
See my answer at Talk:Sanssouci. ACH 14:50, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I've seen your name on the de:en translation page. I was wondering if you could help me get larger fonts implemented for the swiss town info boxes by placing a post in favor on the above page. Really appreciate your help. Thanks. --Mmounties 18:30, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
