Diannaa (talk) 16:38, 13 October 2013 (UTC) Diannaa - I am Bill Harmon, grandson of Ernest Emery Harmon, and creator of his wiki page. I apologize, as I am a wiki novice and this is the one, and only, page that I have created in wiki. I can tell you that the source of the "cold weather gear" photo is me. I have, in my personal collection, the original, framed photo of my grandfather that hung on a wall in my grandmother's (Harriette Alexander Harmon) in Takoma Park, Md until she died in 1969. It then hung on a wall in my mother's (Elaine Danforth Harmon - see her wiki page) house in Silver Spring, Md until she died in 2015. It now hangs on a wall in my house in Marmora, NJ. I simply photographed my original copy of my grandfather's "cold weather gear" original photo so that I would have a digital copy to post to wiki. I'm trying to be compliant with wiki rules, but it's very confusing. Thank you for your efforts to help maintain the integrity of data that is presented in wiki. Two issues

Hello Eugene, I apologize for just now trying to respond to your request. I don't visit my mother's page very often. Per your suggestion, I uploaded a photo I took of my mother's plaque to Wikimedia. And, I added it to her page. It clearly shows the quote from my mom on the plaque. Being a novice Wiki user, I'm not sure how to update the citation. Thanks for your help. It's also not clear to me how I cite my COI, being a family member. Hello, Alexharmon, I noticed your recent additions to Elaine Harmon, and wanted to let you know of two Wikipedia policies that need to be observed.

• All facts need to be properly cited to reliable sources. I've added a citation to the info about Harmon's memorabilia on display at the College Park Aviation Museum, but the remaining additions all need to be cited. (I was unable to locate a source citing the plaque's text at the museum, and perhaps the easiest way to verify the plaque may be a photo of it, submitted to Wikimedia and added to the article.)
• Your username indicates you may be related to Elaine Harmon, thus subject to Wikipedia's policies on conflict of interest. Please declare any COI on your userpage, and suggest any further edits on the article's talk page — I have it on my watchlist and will try to respond within a day or two.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 17:36, 28 September 2017 (UTC) Hello Eugene. I am Elaine Harmon's son, Bill. I am a novice Wiki contributor. I would like to add the info you requested but I find it very confusing. I nominated my mom to the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame and I contributed the words that appear on her HOF plaque. The words were taken from our family collection of her personal letters. The next time I visit the HOF I will take a picture of the plaque. Another source is The Maryland Women's Commission online website, which has a link to the online version of the Maryland Women's Hall of Fame. Each woman in the HOF has their own page, picture, bio, and words on their plaque listed. You beat me to creating a wiki page for my mom, thank you. It was on my to do list. The only wiki page I've ever created/started was for my grandfather, Ernest Emery Harmon. He was my mom's father-in-law. But, she never kew him because he died in a plane crash in 1933. After creating that page other wiki contributors helped me by finding the sources for the multiple citations needed to support the facts as I remembered, and documented them.
