Steinway & Sons
Hi. Thanks for your help in editing the Steinway page. It looks like we have a fe Steinway salesmen who are trying to slant the article. I got a really huffy message from MUSIKVEREIN compaining about my comments about his edits to the Sviatoslav Richter page. Check this out: " critiques on the Amazon review pages, where professional pianists and critics like J. Scott Morrison and Hank Drake discuss some of Richter's late recordings (and their wrong notes, too)". I know for a fact that Hank Drake has never submitted a Richter review on Amazon, because Hank Drake is me!THD3 20:52, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- User:Steveshelokhonov is really going over the top with his Steinway edits. He removed, again, the references to Steinway's treatment of dissenting pianists. It's obvious he's totally agenda driver, despite his denials--I have no doubt he's a Steinway salesman. I've put the information in, with a note that if it's removed again, I will requests moderator action (i.e., look into having his edits blocked). How exactly does one do that?THD3 22:35, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'd greatly appreciate it if you could resubmit the mediation request. or give me instruction. I tried, but had some difficulty--I think because of the formatting of the Steinway & Sons name. Have you ever done this before?THD320:02, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Ah, looks like he's Sockpuppetting!THD3 22:12, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like we've got another Steinway nut altering the page. Some of the stuff he's adding is right out of the Steinway sales book, so I'm pretty confident he's a Steinway salesman. He may or not be a sockpuppet of Steveshelokhonov.THD3(talk) 18:21, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Alexrexpvt,
- I see that User:THD3 has mentioned me ("another Steinway nut") in the text above. His claim about me beeing a Steinway salesman is a fast way to draw a conclusion, actually I might say I think it's a little funny. Of course you don't have to be a Steinway salesman to find references at the Steinway Website (www.steinway.com). And by the way: many of the references I have used are not from Steinway's Website or a so-called "Steinway sales book".
- You can also read Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2009-01/Steinway & Sons. User:THD3 has mentioned my username and therefore I treated myself to add a text on the page. I hope this isn't against the rules for Wikipedia.

Just want to say...
Thanks for your efforts at the Saladin article. I didn't realize how jumbled up the references were. I'm about to expand his biography after 1187 and will clean up and add info on his legacy, recognition, etc. Therefore, I would really appreciate if you could double check the ref work after that's finished as well. Cheers! --Al Ameer son (talk) 16:58, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. I've started to revise the few remaining sources that aren't in shortened footnote form, although several of the sources appear to be different translations of the same work. I'll try to get a hold of the latest edition and update the references accordingly. Alexrexpvt (talk) 12:13, 6 May 2009 (UTC)

Svetozar Ristovski page
Hi, I am just following up on Svetozar Ristovski's page. I have added additional references for verification. Variety Review should has been added to corroborate that he is the director of the film Mirage (2004). Please note there is a Wikipedia entry for Mirage as well that references Ristovski as the director. Please advise if there is anything additional you would like me to add. Guess who's back?
I've noticed that User:Fanoftheworld is up to his old tricks. He has just marked theImpreial Bosendorfer page for speedy deletion, has been making pro-steinway/anti-everyone else changes to several pages. Any suggestions?THD3 (talk) 18:05, 10 March 2010 (UTC)
- I suspect that User:Peoplefromarizona is a sockpuppet of banned editor User:fanoftheworld (who lately has been editing under other accounts such as User:Rerumirf). I know I am not supposed to do this, but since I don't edit here I am not so worried about what Bureaucrat might say. This user is changing the tone of Steinway & sons to the style that Fanoftheworld was trying to impose. His/her main interest are freemasons ( User:Rerumirf is danish for Freemason backwards) and Steinway & Sons and also edits other articles that make reference to this brand (Royal Warrants, for example). Please read the archived history of Steinway & Sons for more details about this banned user. I am not active on wikipedia anymore, but I think it is worth investigating the activities of this user. Thank you.--Karljoos (talk) 02:17, 11 July 2011 (UTC)

- The article as it stands has only two sources, both of which belong to Mr Beer's employer. To be notable enough to merit a Wikipedia entry a person has to be 'the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.' Please have a look at the guidelines on notability andreliable sources. Alexrexpvt (talk) 15:58, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Ron Wear
Hi there,
I am confused as to why my submission forhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Ron_Wear#Life_and_career has not been accepted. I provided many references. I understand my Vancouver Television article was not accepted yet, but the other one above on TV Host and Actor Ron Wear should be accepted as I provided a ton of evidence as to who he is and his level of recognition/notoriety.
I look forward to your reply - thanks so much. — Precedingunsigned comment added by 70.79.72.79 (talk) 14:14, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- Unfortunately there are rather a lot of pages to be reviewed at the moment, and very few reviewers. I've had a quick look at the page, but I'm not sure that I'm in a position to determine whether the subject is notable enough to meet the criteria outlined in WP:ENT. Rather than rejecting the submission outright, I think it's better to leave it open so that someone with more experience in this area has a chance to review it. I should say, however, that most of the references given are notreliable, especially the references to imdb, wikipedia and other wiki-media, youtube, blogs, and sites directly associated with the subject. Have a look also at the guidance given here. Alexrexpvt (talk) 21:01, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
A question about declined Growth Thinking submission
Dear Alexrexpvt,
Thanks for reviewing my article on Growth Thinking. The article follows the outline of this articlehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Ocean_Strategy which discusses a similar business strategy book / concept. Also the tone seems very similar. Could I ask you to reconsider, please?
Thank you!
Antti — Preceding unsigned comment added byCondalator (talk • contribs) 13:30, 13 December 2012 (UTC)
- The article as it stands suffers from multiple problems. (1) The tone is clearly promotional, e. g., "GrowthThinking is a new way of thinking that equips companies to consistently grow". Wikipedia isn't a vehicle for advertising or self-promotion; see also the guidelines on maintaining a neutral point of view. (2) There is only one reference given, which is not independent of the subject, and which therefore cannot be used to establish that the subject is notable enough to meet the criteria set out here. Please read the guidance on identifying reliable sourcescarefully.
- To rectify the article's problems, it would be necessary to rewrite it in the objective, non-promotional tone expected of an encyclopedia entry, and to provide evidence of nontrivial coverage in reputable and independent secondary sources.Alexrexpvt (talk) 13:45, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi Alexrexpvt, I've just seen my Trevi Spa new page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Trevi_Spa) refused. Since on the Italian Wikipedia there is a quite similar page, what's the matter with the English one?
Thanks in advance for your help, wildcalla
- I've looked again at the article, and I see that the 'Milestones' section has been lifted wholesale from the company's website, which seems to be an unambiguous copyright violation. Please read WP:CFAQ. If you still feel the company merits inclusion on Wikipedia, you'll need to rewrite the article in your own words; and use reliable sources to establish the subject's notability. Alexrexpvt (talk) 12:50, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
D Rich
I would like to know what about the D Rich piece reads like an advertisement? It is his story (like history) of how he came to be a producer that worked with Grammy nominated artists and placed tracks on major label albums. His name is credible and listed on a number of wikipedia pages. Please respond and note the direct reasons this page was declined. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Deswms (talk • contribs) 17:11, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- The entire article reads like the sort of thing a record company would say about one of its clients, or at best like a fan's review: "an unofficial hood anthem that kept the streets alive", "complimented Jeezy’s gruff vocals seamlessly", "creating his own sound-supersized bass with soulful melodies", "creative passion", "buzz worthy beats", " the duo is back at it cooking up another masterpiece that is sure to top the charts once again", "from his history, whatever D. Rich wants he gets, sooner or later", and so on. What all of these expressions have in common is that they're promotional, rather than neutral, and that they consist largely of opinions dressed up as facts.
- There are, moreover, no substantial references that are independent of the subject which could be used to determine whether the subject is notable enough to merit an entry on Wikipedia.
- I suggest that, if you feel the subject meets the criteria set out here, you rewrite the article inneutral prose, and provide reliable sources to demonstrate the subject's notability.Alexrexpvt (talk) 18:42, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

2nd amendment
Hi,
Your rejection of my article under the spurious excuse that the content already exists in the main piece is yet another example of the refusal of you and your fellow Americans to address yourselves to a disease (yes, I mean that) that has blighted your society for many years. Compare the number of gun killings in your country with the number in mine (UK) over the last year, you will find a considerable difference. Like many ilnesses, until you people accept you have this one, you will never even start to cure it.

- Although a company's own Web site can be a reliable source of information about the company itself (see WP:SELFSOURCE), it isn't a reliable source for the purposes of establishing that a company is notable enough to merit an article on Wikipedia. According to the guidelines on notability (organizations and companies), a company is "considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources." To get the article approved, you'll need to find, for example, sustained coverage in major newspapers with a reputation for accuracy.
- Another thing to be aware of is that some of the language used in the article is a little promotional, e. g., 'pioneer' and 'leader', which are opinions rather than facts, and should either be omitted or rewritten in a neutralway. Alexrexpvt (talk) 19:58, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
