Navajo/Flagstaff
editHi! I noticed that you added the following Navajo language translation to the Flagstaff, Arizona article (Navajo Kinłání). I just wanted to confirm whether this is, in fact, a direct translation from English-to-Navajo of Flagstaff, or actually the Navajo word describing the overall region where Flagstaff is, which is a bit different from the literal translation. Thanks! Dr. Cash (talk) 15:43, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
- I believe it is the Navajo name for the city (or the area), also see other cities, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Phoenix, Gallup, etc ... I got the name from the Navajo Wikipedia's article on Flagstaff.--Alfredie (talk) 20:41, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Frontiers logo.png
editThanks for uploading Image:Frontiers logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:18, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Frontiers (non-profit organization)
editI have nominated Frontiers (non-profit organization), an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Frontiers (non-profit organization). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Unreferenced BLPs
editHello Alfredie! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 264 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

File source problem with File:Rees howells.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Rees howells.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 15:10, 1 May 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:10, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Please don't delete a section without good reason
editYou have blanked a section in article Christianity in Mongolia twice. Please don't behave like that. You are aware that the content of that section is reality. Please see Bible_translations_by_language#Mongolian for the sample translations that confirm the content of the section you have deleted. Gantuya eng (talk) 08:17, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
You seem to have wriiten most of the section about Bible translations into Mongolian. One sentence struck me as potentially odd, it reads "Proper nouns are also often spelled completely differently (for example, the Translation Committee uses Иохан and Марк, and the Gibbens use Иоган and Маарх)". Am I right to suspect that Иохан and Марк are names, not just ordinary nouns? Yaan (talk) 10:22, 27 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
