Bahrain IT Team
editThis was removed since there was nothing in the article to say it was encylopedic. If you decide to recreate this article, make sure that it meets WP:CORP and this should be clear from reading the article. If it does not meet any of those guidelines, it is likely to be nominated for speedy deletion again. If this is really a group and not a company, you need to show why this group is notable. 21:52, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- Having a web site does not make a group encylopedic. Existence is not the same as encylopedic. [User:Vegaswikian|Vegaswikian]] 22:40, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- You may want to look at WP:NOT to get an idea of what is not allowed. What is the IT Team? Is it a group or a company? If it is a company, then you can use WP:CORP for some guidelines. If it is a group, the article needs to show some form of notability. Just existing and being open to the public is not notable. The article needs to explain why it should be included. Vegaswikian 01:54, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for the delayed reply. I don't spend all of my time on Wiki or in front of the computer. Now on to your questions. 1. A group that is just starting is not likely able to prove that it is notable. It has done nothing to be notable. 2. Being first is in and of itself not notable. 3. Having a high GPA requirement to join is again not notable. 4. Having amazing ideas is not in and of itself notable. 5. Speedy deletes are based on specific conditions. There is no requirement for any discussion if an administrator believes that the nomination is valid. Administrators will remove the tag if they think it is not correct or move it to a slower deletion process, like PROD or AfD, if they feel that more discussion is needed. I have also made changes to articles to make them acceptable.
- If you still think this article should not have been deleted, you can use Wikipedia:Deletion review. Wikipedia works on consensus, so that any deletion action can be reviewed and if there is consensus that the deletion should not have beem made, the article will be restored. Vegaswikian 19:21, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- 'Are these more imporatnt than Bahrain IT Team ? can you explain please ? Working_men' club Many others exist that are not important !'
- Each article is judged on its own. Importance is a poor criteria to use, at least in my opinion. That's because what is important to one person is not important to another editor. If you find articles that you believe don't belong and meet a deletion criteria, you can nominate then for deletion. As a general rule, from what I have seen, articles about types of clubs or groups are generally considered encylopedic even if articles about specific clubs or groups are not. As far as Bahrain IT Team goes, if you really think I was wrong in deleting it please use Wikipedia:Deletion review. Vegaswikian 00:38, 1 April 2006 (UTC)

detecting vandalism
editHi Alhoori. I was on Recent Change patrol using CryptoDerk's VandalFighter and saw someone had changed your page. Usually if an IP edits a userpage, it's to add vandalism. So I just reverted it. Let me know if there are any other questions I can answer for you. :) --Fang Aili 說嗎? 23:07, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
- Oh and yes, you can revert to whatever version of your page you like. Go to the History tab, then click on the date of the version you want, then click "edit", then "Save". Wallah. --Fang Aili 說嗎? 23:09, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
About http://www.alnaja7.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page, your contributions are probably completely separate from your contributions at Wikipedia. I don't know much about that site, though. --Fang Aili 說嗎? 16:05, 31 March 2006 (UTC)

alnaja7 links
editI think you may be getting a little carried away with the links to your personal site. I'm not going to revert all of them, though some editors probably would. OhNoitsJamieTalk 17:59, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- Such as me. Right now. --Nnp 19:56, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- See WP:SPAM for guidelines regarding external links. Dropping links to the same site in numerous articles makes it appears as if you are trying to promote your website, which is prohibited by Wikipedia policies. OhNoitsJamieTalk 20:24, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- My response to the question you left on my talk page would be something like the above. Please discuss the links on the talk pages of the articles you're adding them to. This is the accepted practice for requesting links to your own sites. And a mass insertion campaign seems overly self-promotional and will probably be picked up as spam. HAND --Nnp 22:47, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi, you're missing the point. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for you to promote your websites, sorry. While I'm sure your intentions are honorable, please read and understand the following informative template:
- Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. See the welcome page to learn more. Thanks. --Nnp 00:18, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- How did you claimed that it is a Commercial Website ? It was there since 2 months ago ! Alhoori 01:13, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- Shall I write the complete site in wikipedia ? many links to personal sites are there ! The policy mentions no blogs no commercial sites , not useful links ! Alhoori 01:15, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Linking on C++
editHi.
While I'm sure you are capable of making many good edits to Wikipedia, I would ask you stop adding links to your website to C++. I know it it tempting, and helps to get more visitors to your website, but I just do not consider it high enough quality for Wikipedia. You should ask yourself, do you consider your website to be in the top 20 or so of all C++ websites on the whole internet? If not, then it should not be linked to from Wikipedia. Mrjeff 21:58, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- As a minor extension to my previous comment, some things I think your C++ tutorial lacks. Namespaces, templates, a good description of the standard classes (vector, list, deque, etc.) and the standard library (iterators, sort, unique, stable_sort, etc.). Mrjeff 22:18, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
from e-mail
editI started 3 articles in WikiPedia , alnaja7 , annaja7 and BITT and they where deleted by you for "nosense " I mention some of the reasons that I add the articles ?
Alnaja7 means suceess in arabic, just like google doesn't have a meaning at the beginning that it is # 1.
What about BITT ? -- Alhoori via e-mail
- I have to admit that I am unfamiliar with standards for transliteration of Arabic but I doubt very much whether a digit "7" is involved. Hence Alnaja7 means suceess in arabic could be deleted a) as nonsense and b) as a dicdef. The rest of the alnaja7 "article" was spam.
- annaja7 was "empty". Wikipedia has never had an article called BITT. -- RHaworth 10:36, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Uob-logo-2.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Uob-logo-2.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 02:28, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:Uob-logo.gif
editThanks for uploading File:Uob-logo.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:02, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
