David Attenborough box
editHi, Just a brief note as I've done a couple of reversions. The Life Collection DVD box set does not include Life in Cold Blood. It may well appear in a future release, but it isn't part of the current one. To present it as part of the set when it isn't is wrong. Secondly, David Attenborough's name is linked already on every one of the pages in the box, so there is no need for duplication. Otherwise, it's well presented and a good addition to the articles. :-) Chris 42 13:33, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Please see Wiki's MOS. A page is overlinked if it contains more than one link to the same article. DA's "Life" series is not known as "The Life Collection", that is purely the title of the DVD set. All major words within titles should be capitalised (hence "Other Work and Narrated"), and "Narrated" is spelled with one 'e'. Chris 42 13:40, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Okay, I'll let you have the second link for DA as it's at the bottom of the page. However, "The Life Collection" is a no-no. If you search anywhere on the Internet with that term, the only results you will get link to the DVD set. The series of programmes has always been generically known by the BBC as The "Life" Series. There is a link to "The Life Collection" DVD set on DA's own article and those for each series that appears within the set, so we are not missing out on any links. And your English is a lot better than some I've come across! Chris 42 14:02, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I think it's an improved layout as well. Thanks. :-) Chris 42 14:33, 17 April 2006 (UTC)
EP
editI see you changed that redirect at EP from Extended play to European Parliament. There was some discussion, albiet not much, at Talk:EP concerning the changing the page from a disambiguation page to a redirect. The major reason for this change was the vast majority of pages that link to EP intend to be linked to Extended play. Could you please comment on your change on Talk:EP? —D-Rock 11:20, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
I am sorry, but I will have to mark the flag with a copyvio tag, because it uses parts of images that were made available under a "used with permission" license, and therefore is a copyvio. At least that image was uploaded too early to be speedied under CSD I3. Jesse Viviano 13:27, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

editUnited Nations Members.PNG
editAbout your UN members map... What is the point of the dots for the small nations? aido2002 20:04, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well that's almost to logical to explain, to show that there are independent nations there. Otherwise they would be too small to reconise.
User:Allard 22 september 2006.
On your UN map (great work, by the way), the island of Taiwan is coloured, while its status is rather unclear. Shouldn't it be gray like Western Morocco and Palestine as it is not yet recognized by the UN?
I has already been changed and back. So I don't really know anymore what it should be. Start a new discussion in the Talk page of the UN members article, I would sugest.
- User:Allard, 28 september 2006.
Hi Allard. I noticed a UN members map at the WikiAtlas and it seemed to have much better coverage of the smaller nations, though the question about Taiwan still remains. Feel free to revert if you don't think it an improvement. JamesAVD 16:03, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi Allard, regarding the issue of Taiwan's color on your map: This illustration is problematic because Taiwan has a complex history regarding membership in the UN. The island has not been represented in the UN since 1971, nor is it currently represented by the PRC, which has no jurisdiction over the island. To rectify this problem, the best bet would be to find a map that addresses these complexities; otherwise, the next best step is to make the island of Taiwan gray, and a gray box should be added to the key with the definition "non-member." Thanks. User: Evelyn, 13 August 2007.

editHello,
there is a typo in the word "members" in the legend of the map.
Also, I wanted to ask you whether you could use patterns in addition to colors in order to make the map accessible to color deficient or vision impaired readers as the current version uses colors that are easily confused and only contrast in hue.
Thanks,

There is a grey island off Yugoslavia, a grey dot in the Solomons; a grey island in an island group to the East of the Solomons; many grey islands in the East Pacific; some brown color for the Aleutians and an orange Lichtenstein, Vatican, Andorra, San Marino and Monaco. These colors are not on the legend.--208.102.210.163 (talk) 16:33, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
UN Membership Map
editHello, I noticed you created the UN membership map. I also noticed that Taiwan is in blue, just curious, did you make an error did you just consider it part of mainland China? Just wondering, cheers. Thucydides of Thrace (talk) 19:01, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
