Feedback archived

edit

Hi there.

A while ago, you requested feedback in WP:FEED. Because it has been a while, and you'd received at least some response there, I have now archived the replies in Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/Archive/26. Please do not edit that page though; if you require further feedback, add a new request on WP:FEED.

I am trying to clear the backlogs; it would help us a lot if you could look at the requests from other users on WP:FEED and add any comments to help them out. Anyone can respond there, so please do take a look, and comment on the articles from other people.

If you want help with anything at all, you could either;

  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.

The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Best,  Chzz  ►  04:05, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome and introduction

Hi, AllisonShapira. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  04:05, 28 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Energy Policy of the Obama Administration

edit

Re. Energy Policy of the Obama Administration

Thanks for being so considerate; I didn't actually give feedback though - the ones to thank are Orangemike (talk · contribs) and Ukexpat (talk · contribs). You might want to pour them a cup of tea and then leave a note on their own talk pages.

I'm sorry that your request for feedback was not dealt with more promptly - and that's where I step in; I'm working to help improve the whole 'feedback' process, and as part of that, I put the message here about the archiving.

I notice that the article is now live, as Energy Policy of the Obama Administration. I've just tidied up the lede section a little.

As regards further development, I will ask some other Wikipedians if they can take a look at it, and respond here.

I suggest (if you have not already) that you consider joining some project groups, such as Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Politics and government, Wikipedia:WikiProject Barack Obama, Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Congress.

Best of luck, and please do ask for help, at any time.  Chzz  ►  18:25, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I think you are more likely to get feedback at WP:PR than WP:FEED.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 18:39, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
