userboxes, non-free images, and categories
editAloofbobcat, several times now you have added non-free images such as File:Minnesota Timberwolves logo.svg to userboxes, such as you did with this edit. Several times now these images have been removed from these userboxes as violating the terms of our Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria policy, specifically point #9 which forbids the use of non-free images outside of actual articles on the project. Userboxes are not articles. You can not use non-free images on userboxes. If you are uncertain if an image is non-free or not, look at the image's description page, such as here. Scroll down. If you see a big red "C" inside of a larger red circle, it is a non-free image and can not be used as you have been trying to do. If it's still unclear to you if the image is non-free or not, then contact me and I will help you identify if it is non-free or not.
Furthermore, you've been adding article categories to userboxes, such as you did here, that are appropriate for articles but wholly inappropriate for userboxes. A userbox is not a 1989 establishment in Minnesota nor it is a NBA team. Please don't do this. If you're uncertain if a particular category is appropriate for a userbox, ask me and I will assist you.
If you have any questions about any of this, please let me know. I'll be happy to help. --Hammersoft (talk) 13:02, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
Thank you for your help. Hammersoft I'll try to do better next time. Just let me know if I do anything else. I never noticed the big red "C". Aloofbobcat (talk) 19:49, 12 May 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Wikipedians interested in the Minnesota United FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Talk! 02:38, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
