Deaf-mute

edit

Thank you for your edit on the above article. Unfortunately I had to remove it because (1) it was in the wrong article, which is about language, i.e. a term which is no longer used for people who are both deaf and do not speak, and (2) your edit contained no citations for verification.

There are safe ways to avoid deletion on Wikipedia. One way is to first find your citation, e.g. an authoritative book about your subject, or respected website, contribute information from that, then append your citation. You also need to check that you are putting your contribution in the right place. In the above case, the article Hearing loss might have been the right place for what you wanted to say - except that you would need to check whether your information has already been contributed. Commons pictures

edit

Hi. I notice you've uploaded a number of pictures to Wikimedia Commons, several of which, are used on Wikipedia. Several of them have been tagged (by someone other than me) for deletion, because of permission issues, which you may wish to address. I'm posting this message here, since sometimes people don't notice messages on Commons, as much as they do on Wikipedia. In particular, it's very important that you make clear exactly who took each image. You seem to have placed camera information in the source and author fields, which makes things confusing for me. I also notice, some images which are obviously taken by the same person, have different author/source information. You need to go back to all of your photos, and update with correct information, if you don't want them deleted. Feel free to ask me or others for help. --Rob (talk) 22:56, 28 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Casar Jacobson sourcing and pictures

edit

Wikipedia requires all claims, especially those in biographies of living people to be properly sourced to reliable independent sources. You've added a large amount of poorly sourced, or unsourced material in these edits to Casar Jacobson. I strongly suggest, that you take things slower, carefully source each addition, and check for feedback for each edit, before constantly adding more and more problematic contributions. I understand you may not understand all the rules, and you don't need to be an expert to edit. But, if you're not sure of how to contribute, it's best to take it a little slower. You may also want to go to Wikimedia Commons, and review messages left their regarding your image uploads, and licensing requirements. If you want to have your contributions kept on Wikimedia Commons and Wikipedia, it's important to you engage other editors, and discuss concerns that are brought up, and not just barrel ahead, with further contributions that are likely to be undone.

Also, please read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Rob (talk) 00:29, 10 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
