Draft:Karikku
editI undid your changes to Draft:Karikku since Wikipedia already has a page on that topic, Karikku. Please update that page instead, but this time, add references.
Your additions[1] which I reverted were not backed by a citation from a reliable source. Please read WP:Referencing for beginners for details.
If the topic YOU are writing about is not the same as the one at Karikku, please start a new draft at Draft:Karikku (Kochi) instead. If you are going to start a new article, please read WP:Your first article, as it will help you avoid common mistakes. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) đ 18:27, 4 January 2021 (UTC)

editWelcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Karikku, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to materialâsuch as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiencesâfor which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 12:57, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
I have only stated the truth Alvin Sibi (talk) 13:03, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Karikku. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 14:11, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
Actually there are only a few articles published about the subject, that's why I just added some important things which wasn't there Alvin Sibi (talk) 14:13, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi. Please read WP:IMAGES. Thanks! -- CptViraj (talk) 14:18, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- I reverted this edit. Please re-read WP:IMAGES. Before a logo can be used, it has to be uploaded. Very simple logos that are not eligible for copyright protection can be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Most logos that have anything in them other than words and/or simple shapes are protected by copyright. Before uploading those to Wikipedia, read WP:NFCC. Do not claim a logo "as your own work" unless you personally hold the copyright to it AND you did not base it on any other work that is under copyright AND it has not been previously published.
- Once it is uploaded, it can be used. See File:John Deere logo.svg and the infobox near the top of John Deere for examples of how to use a non-free logo. See File:Coca-Cola logo.svg and the infobox at the top of Coca-Cola for an example of how to use it (ignore the soft-drink bottle, that's not typical for pages like this). davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:51, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
How can I add the logo then? Can you please explain? Alvin Sibi (talk) 06:51, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- First off, who owns the copyright to the logo? That will determine the next steps. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 16:10, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
It is copyright free picture Alvin Sibi (talk) 16:21, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- Since it is in the public domain, upload the photo to the Wikimedia Commons and, when asked, say that it is in the public domain and say WHY it is in the public domain. If you get stuck and can't decide what to put, cancel out of what you are doing and ask for more help. Before asking for help, read the parts of WP:Images that related to uploading images and the Wikimedia Commons and WP:Public domain.
- Once you upload it, it will have whatever filename you gave it, for example, this file is called File:Information example page2 300px.jpg. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:28, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
Hey, I am not able to add photos to a new page that I created from my smartphone. I can't even find the option to add images.
I am not able to find the add images option Alvin Sibi (talk) 06:41, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
