User:Amccreath → Andy McCreath – I would like to request a move under a different name. The name should be Andy McCreath and not User:Amccreath. This "User:Amccreath" interferes with searches made for Andy McCreath and does not seem like a real Wikipedia page. ANDY MCCREATH 22:57, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

• Sorry, that's not going to happen. You're essentially requesting that an article be made out of the user page. Wikipedia:Articles for creation is the proper process you're looking for. On a closely related note, the userpage should clearly be deleted per WP:UP#NOT unless someone actually deems that autobiography sufficiently notable and salvageable for mainspace. --84.44.182.148 (talk) 17:18, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
• On the contrary, this editor can make this move himself. This doesn't mean the article won't be deleted, but the process doesn't require an RM. AFC is not required, though it is perhaps advisable in this case in order to improve the article to the point where it could be kept. • You're right. I thought the user wasn't autoconfirmed yet (ie. couldn't move pages), but it seems that he is. You're not right after all. Gotcha. All I checked was the "article" history, and it looked plenty old enough. Andy, read up on autoconfirmed to learn how you could make this move yourself. But again, it may be better to work through AFC. This looks to be an autobiography, which is strongly discouraged. --BDD (talk) 17:46, 6 November 2012 (UTC)

Edit request

Could someone please take a look at the user page and decide whether to to move it to mainspace or to MFD? Imho, that autobiographical page couldn't stand as an article and is encyclopedically unsalvageable for mainspace. But it cannot stay in userspace either, because it clearly violates the list of userpage no-no's ("Writings [...] not closely related to Wikipedia's goals"). --84.44.230.252 (talk) 14:59, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

This page at it currently reads doesn't stand a chance in article space. However, in userspace, there is usually more leeway given to personal CVs on accounts that clearly represent only one person.
