Transducer?

edit

Hey, I noticed you edited Mealy machine to note that it is a transducer. I was wondering if Finite state transducer is what you meant. I just noticed that mention of an large alleged category of state machines called transducers. I find the definition at transducer to be far too general to be useful in the context of finite state machines. Also, the definitions of the other category of state machines (the Acceptors and Recognizers) seem to be encompassed by Mealy and Moore machines (the alleged transducer category). I was hoping that you could help clarify stuff on that page (and on its talk page). And we need your help in working on C and C++ libraries - badly. That part of wikipedia is very incomplete and badly written. Fresheneesz 04:36, 13 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
