editPlease do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Kryptos (band). Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Stop adding the content. Discuss on the article's talk page if you really want to put it in. Zakhalesh (talk) 15:34, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Kryptos (band)
editHello. Your recent edits on the article about Kryptos (band) have drawn a bit of concern because their tone is promotional. This is in contradiction of our neutral point of view, and I'd like to encourage you to instead discuss any changed on the articles talk page, Talk:Kryptos (band). Also, I'm concerned about your and User:Dj sal666's similar editing habits - since you're likely to be affiliated in real life, I suggest you to read about using multiple accounts, commonly referred to as "sockpuppets". If you're abusing multiple accounts or otherwise violating WP:SOCK, I advise you to stop now, because good faith mistakes are tolerated - if you're not connected in any way with the other editor, you have nothing to worry about, but should still discuss these material additions on Talk:Kryptos (band). See you round! Zakhalesh (talk) 15:50, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Hello Zakhalesh,
User Dj sal666 or whosoever Isn't me. I haven't modified the contents of the article instead made the contents in much more readable form and included various citations. I agree that the tone does not neutral. Do you want me to stop adding the content or can I edit the neutrality of the Article. Let me know if you have any other concerns where the article can be improved. Thanks. Amrithraj (talk) 18:53, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I reviewed your edits, and I mistook some of the more promotional content that was actually added by Dj Sal666 to be yours. In any case, the article must remain neutral, and I appreciate your contributions. Keep up the good work! Zakhalesh (talk) 19:00, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Non-free use of File:Kryptos Band Current members.JPG
editThank you for uploading File:Kryptos Band Current members.JPG. However, there is a concern that the use of the image on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. Details of this problem, and which specific criteria that the image may not meet, can be obtained by going to the image description page. If you feel that this image does meet those criteria, please place a note on the image description or talk page explaining why. Do not remove the {{di-fails NFCC}} tag itself.
An administrator will review this file within a few days, and having considered the opinions placed on the image page, may delete it in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion or remove the tag entirely. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. DMacks (talk) 02:17, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
File copyright problem with File:Kryptos Band Current members.JPG
editThank you for uploading File:Kryptos Band Current members.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 02:20, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Hello Eeekster,
This image is indeed not public but provided by the band themselves by the band manager and hence this will be under 'promotional category'. Please advise how to fix the problem you have raised. Thanks Amrithraj (talk) 02:25, 7 April 2011 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:Kryptos Band Current members.JPG
editThanks for uploading File:Kryptos Band Current members.JPG. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. We hope (talk) 16:50, 18 April 2011 (UTC)

editWelcome and thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test on the page Improvised explosive device worked, and it has been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment further, please use the sandbox instead. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Question: Was this edit of yours an editing test? If so, why? Another related question: Did you know that you are not supposed to add a "citation needed" tag in small/short section of articles when an existing reference tag had been placed at the end of the sentence/word in the first place? Should you encounter any other similar situation in future, I'd advice you to raise your query instead on the relevant discussion page, otherwise, your action (of placing an unwanted "citation needed" tag when it is clearly uncalled for) might be deemed as a disruptive editing behaviour, for which I will issue a stern warning to you. That is all. Dave ♠♣♥♦™№1185©♪♫® 07:44, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
