editHi - I notice that all your edits have been on the topic of Southeastern Grocers. Do you have some kind of connection with the company - like that you work for or are a PR agency engaged by them? If so this isn't necessarily a problem, but you need to formally disclose this so people are aware of it and know who you are. That's a link on how to do it - but let me know if you have any kind of questions about this. Blythwood (talk) 19:02, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Fresco y Más
editHello Amstefan,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Fresco y Más for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Blythwood (talk) 02:35, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
Fresco y Más article
editHello - thanks for the reply. Wikipedia is a bit hard to write new articles for, so I'll try to explain why I and other people were concerned about the article and your editing.
The main problem with the article was that it was very promotional, like corporate marketing material, whereas Wikipedia articles are meant to be neutral. So above all, if you have any connection with the company, you should explicitly declare it (like this), or explicitly say that you don't have such a connection, before you make any more edits.
My advice to write a non-promotional article is really simple: include no information at all that has not been reported in independent media, and no statements of opinion about the quality of the company's products or values. In general, on a topic that's not very well-reported, it's better to keep the article short since shorter articles are more likely to be useful than longer ones. For a small supermarket sub-brand, my advice would be to keep it to two paragraphs. I would also write it as a draft and ask feedback on the article from the Articles for Creation project or Teahouse project (or I would be happy to do that too - let me know if you want any help with this).
All the best, let me know if you have any further questions. Blythwood (talk) 16:44, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
- Amstefan, I want to be clear with you. It's very clear that you seem to be editing Wikipedia on behalf of Southeastern Grocers. As I said, you need to formally, explicitly disclose who you are and in what capacity you're working for them, and if you are specifically being paid to make edits to Wikipedia, before you do anything more on here. Or you run the risk of being formally blocked. Blythwood (talk) 18:44, 17 June 2016 (UTC)
